I am the friend of the person submitting this review. I just got this yesterday. A friend of mine put it together for me. She said it was easy to put together, the instructions were very clear and concise, and she was able to do it without knowing what the finished product would look like. It is very sturdy and everything fit together. Well, I think there was one time when she said it was kind of a little hard for the screw to go in, but she got it to go in and there’s no problem with it. The cats explored it and it’s a big hit. I have three cats. They range in size from about five or 6 pounds to about 15 pounds, and the largest is 20 pounds with very little fat. He has made it wobble just a tiny bit, but I don’t think I have to worry about it falling over. This is really great quality and the materials are very sturdy. It took about an hour and a half for her to put it together, but she went slowly and carefully. It has nine posts with the sisal rope on it, and immediately one of my cats started scratching on it on one of them. I would highly recommend this to anyone who has a larger cat. I would say this is not a cat tree for Maine Coon males. The boxes would be too small. The shelves are too small for a male Maine Coon to lay out on, but it seems to be a great size for my 20 pounder. He gets up and down it easily and fits in both boxes and can lay in one and watch the lake outside the door. Definitely worth the price. It’s a beautiful piece of furniture as well, and the carpet is very soft. ... show more

The cats love it! I have two 10 pound cats who run up and down it all the time, even have little play fights at the top and it has remained sturdy and stable. It does have an attachment point to anchor on a wall, we haven't done this yet as we are unsure about the location to settle on but so far it fairs well without it (not that I recommend not using it). hi friends, we got this cat tree because our other one broke after having it for about 2 years. This one is much more spacious for my larger cat. he can fit in all boxes and comfortably on all platforms! they really enjoy running up the sides and playing together on it! they get pretty rambunctious and we have not anchored it to the wall and it has not fallen over! i would say it’s pretty sturdy but i like that they include a way to anchor it if you want to! it was pretty easy to put together probably took about an hour or two but i think it could be put together faster by someone who is more of an experienced builder lol. i love it and they love it, if that changes i will update! ... show more

Great for the two kittens! It’s taller than expected! Easy to put together, honestly higher quality than expected too! There’s a dry wall screw and a ribbon to make sure tower doesn’t fall over. It even has an instructions to make the box I a fun place for the kittens to play in, though I’ll leave that a surprise for you when you get it! My only thing to say about it, is it’s really tall, so if you have it on the carpet (like I do) it will be kinda unstable unless bolted to the wall with the supplies included.     • A little wobbly on carpet, thin and catchy rug material

Overall the tree is of good-enough quality, and assembly was uneventful using the provided instructions. Where we could place the tower did not allow for wall anchoring and is on a (thin) carpeted surface. The tree sways a bit when our 10lb adolescent cat plays anywhere from the middle up. We stacked several large concrete pavers we had spare on the base shelf to give it some stability, which helps. In time we hope the carpet compresses more and it becomes even more stable. I think if the base was larger by an extra inch or three, providing more surface area to distribute the weight, it would probably be significantly more stable. Cost cutting and packaging logistics probably had them making compromises that are inevitably the biggest shortcoming of the tower. The boxes on the tree are lined with carpet, and while our cat loves to stab are the sides in play their claws sometimes get very entangled. I'm also concerned with time this same material will develop holes where our cat is forced to pull hard to get unstuck, and in time those will grow. Different and more durable material for the houses/boxes was likely another cost cutting measure that results in a diminished experience and will cut into the longevity. The "cactus" theme is a stretch. There's one cactus arm on the entire tree and other than the color selection (green/brown), there would be no other indication this was 'desert' themed. ... show more

The cat tree is very stable for its height. All things considered, when assembled and all hardware is tightened properly, this is a well designed and rugged tower. In my opinion, this turned out to be a great deal for the price! The directions are EXTREMELY easy to follow, and the whole assembly takes just shy of 45 minutes! It IS just shy of SEVEN FEET tall, and does have a knock-over strap, but with the weight and stability of this, I have not bothered to use it. ... show more

This cat tree is HUGE!!! There is barely a foot of clearance from the ceiling, but I’m NOT complaining! My kitties LOVE this cat tree. We have 2 grown boys and a growing kitten. The tree can hold all 3 with plenty more space for like 5 more cats 😉 it’s sturdy and a beautiful color (light gray). The box is comes in is also neat because it comes with stencil lines to cut and create a little cat house. I would 100% recommend for anyone with a house cat. This is a great way to get in some exercise and rest. Plus, cats LOVE to perch and this cat tree allows them to do that. ... show more
