My only beef with this product is that the pencil is too short. I love the powder quality of the pencil; it goes on smooth, even on mature skin. However, with frequent sharpening, it disappears in no time. I'm still looking for another brand with a longer pencil and a similar formula.

Perfect color for my fair eyebrows. Not too dark. Just enough. I have not used the gel part as I don’t need it. But I do think the color is really good for blondes. Good price too.

I like the smooth feeling of this eyebrow pencil. I wish it came with a separate sharpener so it would be more convenient. But it’s okay since the pencil won’t go dull for a long time. THIS is THE pencil. THE pencil. I have trichotillomania and can go through periods of very sparse eyebrows. I have been using this product for maybe 7+ years and I have found no pencil like it. The color is absolutely perfect for my dark brown hair as it doesn't seem too dark or strange looking and has no red undertones at all like most do. It is easy to sharpen and is a hard enough pencil that it goes on well with no issues but also is not smudgy at all and is easy to draw defined small lines. I keep buying this pencil over and over even though I have tried others. The only downside is the gel but I think that might just be me. I have no idea how to use the gel or what to do with it and when I don't have a lot of eyebrow hairs it seems pointless anyway. Its sad but I can't say how many gels I have just thrown out. Also since the gel takes up half the pencil the pencil part is pretty small, like half the size of a normal pencil. As someone who has bought TONS of these, this is a huge bummer as the price is kind of steep. The BEST part of this pencil is that it will stay on while you sleep, while you shower, while you swim, and while you sweat. Through almost anything!!! As someone who really needs this to stay on to hide the fact that my brows are so sparse, this is a huge game changer and allows me to really live my life and not limit me at all. I don't know if this feature will be important to anyone else but if you are looking for a pencil with real staying power, this is it!!! ... show more

Lightest color out of the six brow pencils I've tried-- for blondes-- in the past month since my beloved Physician's Formula old-style pencil was discontinued and I finally finished the last of those which I had stockpiled... However, color is too red for me. The PF color is more "khaki" and therefore more natural on a natural blonde. Most other pencils for blondes (there are only a few) are still too dark for me. I look like Joan Crawford when using them. But my biggest gripe about this pencil, as the obvious: the actual pencil is only 2/5ths of the instrument. And the "lead" is so soft that you need to sharpen it every day. So, can you just imagine how fast you'll run through a mere two inches of pencil? I've gone through this one in less than a month. Each PF pencil would last me about four months if not longer. The other issue I have is that after you've carefully drawn on individual hairs (as one should always attempt. Never "fill in" your brow with color or it will just look like a big slug on your face!), then you're supposed to use the goopy gel on the other end, with the attached brush applicator. And by doing so, "smudges" your artwork of those individual lines or "hairs" into a blob. I just found a seller on Amazon that sells the newly re-vamped Physician's Formula pencil-- they've now stuck a brow brush on the end of it, thereby shortening the "lead" somewhat. I haven't yet tried it so I can't say if the color is still the same even though it has the same name. Fingers crossed! ... show more
