Firm and comfortable. I bought this for my mom. She is coming to stay with me for a year. It's very comfortable and firm. I am 5'3 and 175 lb. I kind of can feel the hardness of the floor when I lie on it. It is should be fine for my mom who is no more than 120lb. I am ordering a 2nd of this mattress. I think, for a whole year's constant use, maybe putting two together, one on the other, is more comfortable. The mattress puff up right out of package. The cover is pretty too.

I wanted something that wasn’t sink in cushy but was comfortable. This is soft and somewhat firm which I like. No chemical smell (I’m very sensitive). Haven’t tried to fold and store in the bag - seems like it will be challenging but not sure. Happy with purchase.

Due to my son’s epilepsy, my husband and I sometimes have to take turns sleeping in his room. This has been a GAMECHANGER. While I don’t know if it is 4 inches thick, it is way better then sleeping on the floor and makes it more comfortable. The twin size is a great size and it is thin enough that it’s not bulky and easy to climb over if necessary. Definitely recommend!!

This futon is great. I’ve been looking for something like this for a long time now, and this futon fits the bill. We had a friend who was coming to visit and she needed a place to stay for one night. I didn’t have a spare bed so I scrambled onto Amazon and found this futon. My husband and I decided to buy it and give it a try, because we figured we could also use it for ourselves to have something soft to lay on while we play with our puppy. It’s incredibly pillowy soft, nice and thick to the point my friend visiting was able to sleep through the night even though she normally needs specific comforts to help her sleep. It folds away very easily, and we store it in the corner of our office, as we have a small apartment. Fantastic product, and it’ll probably be seeing a ton of use.

The description for this item is very deceiving. They said it’s a 4 inch thick tatami. It’s barely 1”-2” after letting it “expand” for 2 full days! It feels like just a thick blanket, not even a pillow. I wanted to love this item because I thought it was beautiful and would make a great guest room/kids bed for when my nieces and nephews are over. But I’m going to return it. Don’t waste your time or money on this one.

I love this! My baby would only sleep on me, but we sleep on this now (him in a portable bassinet and me next to him). I can move without disrupting him, and I know he is safe in the bassinet next to me. It’s not super thick but very comfortable! It’s helping us both get better sleep! Futon is comfy and looks as described. But the storage bag was super cheap, zipper bent and broke apart when I tried to zip it up for the FIRST time. The straps are too slick to hold when you try and tighten them.
