Color: Glacier Blue
It was super easy to take apart and put together. The instructions on their website are helpful, though I was able to do pretty much all of it on my own. The finish on the plastic is nice and definitely has better grip than my worn out original shell. There is a little bit of a lip between the bottom of the back shell and the switch itself, but a light sanding/filing on the edge makes it flush with little effort and it doesn't impact anything in any significant way to not make it flush. The plastic itself feels durable enough to handle typical wear and tear as well. My only major gripe is that the screw tips provided don't always hold up against the screws (particularly the Phillips head), but I think that has more to do with how my joycons were manufactured as a few of the screws were especially tough to remove and the method used for these plastic molds isn't exactly conducive to repetitive screwing and unscrewing. I also wish the color order on the buttons matched, though that's more of a personal preference and I could probably Jerry rig it to change the order if I really wanted to. Don't mind my joysticks, they're next on my list of to-do's. In hindsight I probably should've just replaced them along with the shell swap, but they don't have any drift issues and I just need to replace the rubber grips. Definitely considering getting more colors in the future as long as this one holds up!

I recently purchased the eXtremeRate DIY Replacement Shell Buttons for Nintendo Switch, specifically in the Clear Atomic Purple color, and I must say that I am incredibly pleased with the product. I am 100% obsessed with my switch now. It is so cute in this pink. I got the pink buttons from this storefront as well to match. My partner did the assembly for me and it was a lot of tedious work but so worth it for the end result!

To get things started I would give this product a 5/5 if only the kickstand was a lot more sturdy. Out of everything that comes with this product that is the only real issue I have. There are only two brands of switch shell swaps that most people are looking at on the market one being eXtremeRate and the other BASSTOP. I opted out for the eXtremeRate version due to the reviews it was given. With the extra screws provided and all around swap for every single piece of hardware on the switch this is a great product for the price. I would definitely recommend this product over any other shell swaps just because of what is offered. *swap out all Y screws from Nintendo with the flat head screws provided with this product as you will easily strip all the Y screws just because of how soft and crappy they are.* Overall the install took maybe 2-3 hrs for me even with slight knowledge in tear downs and installs such as PCs and laptops. Honestly it was a easy job to tackle and once I finished one joycon it was a breeze after that. Due take care of the ribbons just because of their nature to break but they aren't as fragile as people say they are in their reviews. Of course use the provided video from the item description and watch it as you go. I know a lot of reviews say you don't need to remove the cables, while yes this is true you can do the install without removing any cables from either joycons but honestly it just makes everything easier to install with that piece out of the way and it creates one less thing you may break. Another thing is during the install video I believe it was the right joycon there was a mistake in orientation of the cable when inserted so just keep note when you remove the cables remember which way it was facing when removed. Of course when everything is done even before screwing the shells together make sure all the rumble, home, picture, and directional buttons work with your switch. All in all if you're hesitant of purchasing thing product don't be just pull the trigger and do it. Once its all done you will love your self and your new switch in the end!!

Color: Gradient Translucent Green Blue
I'm way out of warranty on my switch and was replacing my joy sticks and fan myself, also my kick stand was broken. I figured while I had things torn apart might as well change the housing too. I got the green to blue one and it is so cool looking, I love it! There was no how to guide in the box, but quickly found one online. Install was not bad. The back plate was a breeze. The right joy con is a little more tricky since it has extra parts in it. The R2 and L2 triggers are probably the most difficult piece to remove and put pack on. I did not use the multi color buttons that came with it because I wanted to keep the original black ones, but I'm sure they work fine. I highly suggest this brand for this kit, quality feels great!
