I'm a sucker for transparent electronics and these is no exception. The shade of green gives that OG Xbox vibe and the silver screws inside pop nicely under the faceplate. It looks great and feels quality in the hand, with just the right amount of texture, despite being smooth plastic (it has a matte or frosted feel that is a little bit slippery, as opposed to the tacky feel of glossy plastic.) The hardest part of installation is getting the stock faceplate off. Once you do that I recommend just removing the adhesive so any future repairs or modifications will go much easier. The actual act of installing this faceplate is dead simple, it just snaps right on with a satisfying click.

I love how this face plate looks on my Elite Series 2 controller. My only complaint is that I had to remove the faceplate to adjust a couple of the screws in the chassis and 2 of the clips broke right away. The original faceplate for the controller was removed multiple times without breaking any clips - I only replaced it after it was dropped and developed a crack.

The tool it came with to get the front shell off was useless by itself, so I ordered a took kit to help out. The quality of the faceplate itself is about what you would expect, I wish it were slightly textured to feel like a GameBoy Color, but it looks nice and feels super smooth. IMO the front grip and rubberized shell of the regular elite controllers are kinda pointless, I'd rather have it feel like a regular controller anywhere except the rubber grips on the handles. One more thought about the fit of the shell. It snaps in place nicely, but it does protrude out a bit by the guide, start, and select buttons (what did MS rename them to? Menu and something else?) and you can feel it moving, but it doesn't impact the ability to push any buttons. Would I like it to feel a bit better? Yeah. I'm not complaining too much though, I just wish more aftermarket parts would be as high quality as replacement GBC shells. One star off because of the low quality included tool, one star off because the mold isn't perfectly flush in the center where it needs to be. I'd probably buy from this manufacturer/seller again, now that I know exactly what to expect.
