Works really well and lasts much longer than I expected. I haven't had any problems with the 2 I've bought over the last 2 years or so. In fact, the 1st one outlived the PS5 controller itself which broke b/c the 2 joysticks broke and then I broke the controller trying to replace them lol. Installation is straight forward and not complicated. Just watch a video. Don't worry about breaking the controller doing it, it's fairly resilient. Only problem is that the plastic tool for taking off the face plate wore down and became unusable after the 1st use.

It works amazing! you only need a minimum of welding knowledge, which you can see on youtube and that's it! the installation is super easy excellent economic option to the scuff. It has a little detail in comfort but it is a matter of habit, I am used to using the ps4 control with the back button accessory, but after a few games it gets used to it. the buttons on the back should perhaps be a little firmer and longer for the position of the hands and that it could be possible to remove the buttons to be able to charge it in the sony base would be great, since if you want to charge it in that base it will not be option. Also that the button paddles could be interchangeable. They are just a few observations, overall I give it a 9.5/10

The extreme rate back button kits are fantastic, and currently the best option for a "pro" PS5 controller. Installation may seem daunting, but it's really not as bad as it seems. Once you've done it the first time, any future controller tear downs will feel like a breeze. Back buttons have been working flawlessly, and can be re-programmed on the fly, making it easy to change up button assignments for different games. The buttons are in a good place, with the outside buttons being very easy to reach, while not being too soft that you accidentally trigger them. The inside two buttons are a little more difficult to reach, but IMO are easier to hit than other 4 paddle pro controllers like scuf, because they are raised off the back of the controller a little more, meaning you don't have to reach as far to actuate them.

it is installed correctly by a professional and now the controller won't even turn on waste money now I am out a 100 dollar controler. And then amazon said they would replace my controller have a copy of the chat and a recording of the phone call. Then they backed out of that deal. Amazon lies to customers to much. ( My Opinion)

I picked up the eXtremeRate Textured Black Programmable RISE4 and it completely transformed my controller. Installation was easier than expected thanks to the guided videos, and once everything was in place, the upgrade felt incredibly solid and premium. The textured back shell gives a great grip, and the programmable paddles are responsive and natural to use — no lag, no accidental presses. What really stood out is how customizable the setup is. Being able to remap on the fly is a huge game-changer, especially for FPS and competitive titles. The paddles feel sturdy, not cheap or flimsy, and the finish looks just as good as it performs. If you enjoy modding your controller or want better control without jumping to an expensive pro controller, this kit is a perfect middle-ground. Great quality, great functionality, and a noticeable improvement in gameplay. Highly recommended for DIY-friendly gamers looking to level up their setup!

Really happy with how well this works once installed. Buttons have a nice click and remapping buttons as simple as holding middle button until led turns on then press both button mapping to and mapping from at same time until light blinks press middle button when done until light goes off. The video on youtube made install simple just pause it as you need. The ribbon cable that goes over trigger could have a little more slack but not real big issue. Total install time including soldering for touch button and sticks was about an one hour twenty minutes taking my time. Buying clear two button version for second controller.

I was looking for a price friendly back button add-on for my DualSense, and I researched many companies like Battle beaver, Evil Controllers, and Scuf, I even looked to see if CollectiveMinds was making a StrikePack For PS5. I finally found eXtremeRate and HexGaming through YouTube, like what I saw, and looked up eXtremeRate Rise 4 on Amazon. If you don’t want to spend $200+ on a custom controller, and don’t mind doing the work yourself, this add-on is for you. It comes with the cables needed to hook it up to both first and second generation Dualsense controllers, you just have be patient and research which connectors to use, and which ones to cut off. If you cut the wrong ones you’ll be getting in touch with eXtremeRate for replacements. It comes with all of the necessary tools to be able to install it on your controller, and within 30 to 40 minutes you’ll be back up and dominating your favorite shooters without ever needing to move thumbs off the analog sticks except to press the touch pad, options button, create button, or D-pad. I have my eXtremeRate rise 4 mapped Circle, Square, Triangle, and Cross (X button) It also comes with the connected to be able to remap L3 and R3 to any of the 4 paddles, but that requires some soldering (pronounce saw-der-ing) work that won’t be necessary for most of the player base. It’s worth the money if you don’t want to sell a kidney for a custom.
