Assembly: I'll preface by saying I do have professional soldering experience. This mod is not for the faint of heart. Although the instructions are very easy to follow, the actual process can get quite fiddly. Function: I am very happy with how this mod performs. Very easy operation, placement of the buttons, and usability. Drawback: the only thing that isn't good about the mod is that it now obstructs my use of a cradle charger. Honestly, was worried at first because of the duration of the installation video but it turned out to be quite fun to fiddle with the remote and install it, wasn’t too complex. Had and used the product for three months but then it snapped, less than 24 hours and the customer service responded and offered a replacement for the part! So to all people that debate whether they should get themselves a set of paddles or not, I’d definitely recommend and revisit for future products, thank you for the quick help with my order 😮💨 ... show more

I was looking for a price friendly back button add-on for my DualSense, and I researched many companies like Battle beaver, Evil Controllers, and Scuf, I even looked to see if CollectiveMinds was making a StrikePack For PS5. I finally found eXtremeRate and HexGaming through YouTube, like what I saw, and looked up eXtremeRate Rise 4 on Amazon. If you don’t want to spend $200+ on a custom controller, and don’t mind doing the work yourself, this add-on is for you. It comes with the cables needed to hook it up to both first and second generation Dualsense controllers, you just have be patient and research which connectors to use, and which ones to cut off. If you cut the wrong ones you’ll be getting in touch with eXtremeRate for replacements. It comes with all of the necessary tools to be able to install it on your controller, and within 30 to 40 minutes you’ll be back up and dominating your favorite shooters without ever needing to move thumbs off the analog sticks except to press the touch pad, options button, create button, or D-pad. I have my eXtremeRate rise 4 mapped Circle, Square, Triangle, and Cross (X button) It also comes with the connected to be able to remap L3 and R3 to any of the 4 paddles, but that requires some soldering (pronounce saw-der-ing) work that won’t be necessary for most of the player base. put it almost all together, to find out that i was missing the remaping board, a few screws, and the rods that hold the back buttons. Now eXtremeRate wont answer and really dont want to take it all apart again and send it back then wait a few days again to get a new one.

Received 08Feb22. Installation was pretty straightforward. I actually missed a wire connection that I only noticed when the touchpad wasn't working. I took the controller apart, fixed it, and reassembled it very fast since I knew what I was doing by then. Will update this review if anything comes up. ... show more
