This is a good product, although it did not miraculously improve my quality of sleep like many of these reviewers claim. The topper actually seemed a bit lumpy at first. I don’t know if I just got used to it, but it’s fine and comfortable now. I will give it credit and say that I can sleep more comfortably on my sides than I could before. I would recommend this product, but I wanted to point out that I did not notice any major improvements to my quality of sleep (just a heads up for those reading reviews)

I got this to soften my sleep on a very firm mattress. First, I love the boxes stitched into the topper, it keeps the padding nicely distributed. second, I like how it makes a nice little design on the sheets, very hotel-esqu. As far as comfort I got rid of my gel topper for this, because it's actually plush and soft and makes it easy to move around at night w/o getting stuck in the topper. I loved this so much I bought one for the guest bedroom at my Mom's house. The stay in place security straps on each side at first didn't seem to be a good design, but they've held the topper in place nicely. My boyfriend moves around a lot in his sleep and his movement used to always move the gel topper to one side or the other but we no longer have that problem with this topper and it's much more comfortable. I'd highly recommend.

I have a firm memory foam mattress. I developed hip problems with my medical conditions. This topper softens it enough that my hips don't hurt as much but still keeps the firmness for my back.

It does make a noticeable difference, but it is not thick enough. I think it is about 1/4" cushion material and the rest is air. I think a 2 inch memory foam pad would have worked better for me but this was a fraction of the price so thought I would try it. For the price it isn't bad and it does make a difference just not as much as I wanted.
