This is the second shade shelter I've purchased, which should tell you right away that I'm happy with the first one. The original shelter didn't have the mesh windows. It was open on both ends with a roof and side panels, allowing animals to walk through from either direction. I set that one up for my chickens because summers in the South are brutally hot, and they immediately adopted it as their favorite shady hangout. This time I purchased the version with the mesh windows for our livestock guardian dog. Great Pyrenees are funny dogs—they're constantly alert and watching over everything while somehow being incredibly lazy at the same time. With their thick white coats, shade is a necessity during the summer months. Since he likes to stay close to "his" chickens, I set his shelter right beside theirs. Now we'll see what happens. The chickens may claim both shelters, the dog may decide one is better than the other, or they may peacefully share the real estate. Either way, everyone has plenty of room to spread out and stay cool. Assembly was very straightforward. I had the tent set up in less than 10 minutes without any special tools. I also used the included ground stakes, which helped secure it firmly in place. Based on my experience with the first shelter, I expect it to hold up well through wind and storms without shifting around. One feature I particularly like is how the cover attaches to the frame. Plastic clips (red circle) snap securely onto the support bars, and additional loops fasten to hooks (green circle) at the base of the frame. The attachment system feels secure and keeps the cover pulled tight. If you're looking for an easy-to-assemble shade shelter for dogs, chickens, or other outdoor animals, this has worked very well for us. The fact that I purchased a second one is probably the strongest endorsement I can give.

Whoever designed this Pawmmo Extra Large Dog House Canopy with Three-Sided Breathable Mesh Windows deserves a promotion and a raise, it's that good and so logical as a solution to quickly and affordably providing shade for our pets when they're outside in our fenced yard. Putting it together was simple. We started assembly inside and quickly realized it's so large that we needed to finish it outside in the yard. The assembly instruction sheet is full-size and nicely illustrated. There are no images of the cover, and it took my husband and me several minutes to figure out that we actually had the long bottom rails oriented incorrectly on the front and back, very simple to take them off, turn the 4 bases around, and put the rails in correctly so they are on the sides and match with the 3 hooks at the bottom of each side of the cover that snap around the bottom rails to pull the cover tight and secure. The bases have two holes to add the ground stakes that keep the house from moving around when it is windy outside. Our two dogs are house dogs who go in and out of our fenced side yard all the time, and they enjoy taking a nap during the day inside the shelter out of the harsh heat from the sun. Our two semi-feral outdoor cats usually sleep on the lounge on the front porch once cold weather is over, but they quickly found this shelter and are now sleeping under it at night as both a cool and a protected area for them. Best of all, it can be assembled and disassembled in just a few minutes if needed, and it is heavy enough to stay in place while also light enough to pick up and move around the yard. Efficient, sturdy, well designed and well made, affordable, practical.

I originally bought this to take camping so the dogs would have a nice shady spot to hang out, but this turned out to be so much more than I expected in all the best ways. This thing is HEAVY DUTY. Much heavier and sturdier than I imagined. When I set it up in the living room to test it, I realized it’s basically a dog yurt, not a flimsy pop‑up tent. The steel frame locks together solidly, and once the cover is on, the whole structure feels incredibly stable. The size is fantastic. It fits both of their large crate pads side by side with plenty of room left front to back. Seeing it in person, it was bigger than expected. Roomy enough for the dogs to stretch out, and even the cat wandered in and made himself at home. They all loved it immediately. The cover is thick and durable, and the roll‑up sides pin just like a real camping tent, which is a great touch. You can open it up for airflow or drop the flaps for shade and wind protection. The mesh windows keep it breezy without feeling exposed. I do wish it came with a travel bag, but to its credit, it folds back up easily and fits right back into the heavy‑duty box it arrived in. Not a dealbreaker just something that would make camping transport even smoother. Overall, this is a sturdy, spacious, well‑designed shelter that’s going to be a hit on our next camping trip. The pets already love it indoors, so I know it’ll be perfect outside.

This extra-large, tent-style doghouse provides shelter and shade. The tubular frame is stable. The waterproof shell fabric is lightweight and dries quickly after rain. The fabric anchors easily to the frame with hooks along the base rails on the long sides. There are additional small hooks at the base corners on the open side. I wanted to check this out on a rainy day, so I assembled it indoors. It was pretty straightforward to put together. I confess, it took me a minute to register some of the parts. I lifted the folded cover off the top of the box and saw angled pieces. I removed those and found straight pieces beneath. I didn't immediately realize that the banded straight sections each have sturdy, stretchy cords running through them. You don't need to sort them to assemble the correct number of sections; stretch to straighten and connect, much like tent poles. Once I snapped all the components into their assembled positions, the instructions were very clear. The shelter was easy to assemble and felt good once completed. The window shades can be rolled up to allow views from/into all sides. This is much neater and more portable than the similarly-sized wood dog house I built some years ago. I can also imagine grandkids being delighted to treat this as an indoor playhouse on a rainy day. I'm glad to have this.

As a household with several dogs, finding an outdoor shelter that's spacious, durable, and comfortable can be a challenge. The extra-large size is fantastic and gives our dogs plenty of room to relax together while staying protected from the elements. Whether they're taking a break from playing in the yard or just lounging outside, they all fit comfortably without feeling crowded. One of our favorite features is the three-sided breathable mesh windows. They provide excellent airflow, keeping the interior cool even on warmer days while allowing our dogs to see what's going on around them. The canopy design offers great shade from the sun and has also done an excellent job keeping the dogs dry during light rain showers. Assembly was surprisingly simple, and the structure feels sturdy once set up. The gray cover looks attractive in our backyard and has held up well through changing weather conditions. We also love that it's lightweight enough to reposition when needed. Our dogs took to it immediately and now use it every day. If you're looking for a roomy, well-ventilated outdoor shelter for one large dog or multiple dogs, this is an excellent choice. Highly recommended!

This is a very nice, outdoor dog tent at a very reasonable price point. It's very well made and incredibly sturdy and durable. It's easy to assemble and comes with very clear instructions. I recommend having a helper to make the assembly process go much faster. This tent is very large and provides more than adequate space for my large German Shepherd mix. It's perfect for our pup to provide shade on sunny days, as we don't have a tremendous amount of shade in our fenced in backyard. It keeps her comfortable and protected from the elements. It has held up well to wind and rain, with no damage whatsoever. Definitely worth every penny. Highly recommend!
