This is a Extension tray to support your cutting mat when you are cutting something out by your maker 3 or maker or Explore Air 3 Air 2 Air. Previously we had supported the mat by hand, but as our designs get more complicated, it has become a tedious task. This Extender tray was designed to fix that problem. We found it especially useful when cutting intricate paper designs as those would lift and tear when bent. I have a Cricut Maker and I have it on a rolling organizer. Everyime I use it, I've had to roll it up to my desk so the mats can rest on the desk and don't just dangle down. This is perfect for the 12in mats. It does help with the 24inch mats but since they are so long, I still roll my Maker close to the desk. I was concerned this wouldn't be sturdy enough but it was perfect! This comes with multiple pieces to use for different machines. Using the maker, I only had to snap 3 pieces together then attach it to the lip of the storage tray. I was surprised at how easy it was to assemble and the sturdiness of it. Once on the machine, it doesn't move until you take it off. Best thing to purchase for your cutting machine if you don't keep it on a desk to prevent the mats from hanging down while cutting. ... show more

    • So simple and useful
This extension tray is such a simple little idea, and makes such a big difference. Previously, we’d have a drawer pulled out below where the cricket sits on the counter so that the mat would hang and touch the edges of the drawer, instead of drooping all the way down and causing issues.     • Perfect extra support
This is something I always thought someone should make, and I was so glad to actually find that someone did! It's super easy to attach to your Cricut and adds another 7" of support for your mat. I was always sitting there with my hand under the mat trying to keep it straight. Now I can just let it do it's thing! I haven't tried it with my 24" long mat yet. Still seems like it may be a tad on the short side for those, but it's still more support than I had before so something is better than nothing! The only thing that is a negative is that you get both the Air and the Maker extensions in the same order. I'm guessing most of us have one or the other, not both, so it's just automatically a waste of materials. In this day and age of being so conscious of extra waist it's a bummer that every order is going to have half of it thrown out. ... show more

Got this to go with my girlfriends' cricut, and it works well. Fits right and is definitely value added. My only reservation with it, is how long it will last. It doesn't feel like it's going to be break quickly, but it also doesn't feel super sturdy. Time will tell!

I ordered this extension tray for my cricut maker and I have to say it comes in handy. I have my cricut placed on a small hallway table and I have to put the front of the cricut all the way to the edge to have enough room in the back for the machine to move the cutting pad as far back as it needs to. The cutting board would sag down in the front because there was nothing there to hold it up. I would have vinyl come lose from the cutting board at times because of it. This extension tray has solved the problem and it is easy to attach and remove . I recommend this for anyone having the same issue I did. It worked out great for me. ... show more

I was pretty surprised when this arrived and there were two. I only needed one, and would have been happier just ordering the style I needed for the maker I have, because the other one is utterly useless and it isn't like it really can be repurposed into something else (yes, eventually I ended up finding a friend who had the other style machine and gave it to her). It's a pretty cheap little plastic guide but it does serve a purpose and does so well. Has been very handy in keeping my mats flat while cutting and has saved many projects that otherwise would have gone bad from poor mat alignment. ... show more
