The adjustable, padded shoulder straps and waist belt are well-designed features that enhance the wearer's comfort. The backpack is meticulously crafted with sun shades that can be conveniently unzipped, rolled up, and secured with Velcro. Additionally, there is a mesh addition that can be zipped onto the front, where it extends, providing extra space and fresh air for the pet during outdoor activities. One notable advantage of this carrier is the removable mesh extension. Unlike other carriers with permanently sewn mesh extensions, the Wildgogo backpack allows for easy removal of the extension. This feature is particularly useful for pet owners who prefer not to have the extension folded and tucked inside the backpack during transport. The extension can be fully detached, folded, and stored in an internal zippered pocket. This design is particularly advantageous for pets prone to chewing since it eliminates the risk of them accessing the folded extension within the interior space. Additionally, there are specific features that ensure my puppy's safety and comfort. She can enjoy the view and receive ample ventilation through the two mesh side panels and the top and front mesh panels that can be unzipped. With ease, I am able to transport her to the vehicle and subsequently secure the carrier to the car seat by threading the seat belt through the designated clips situated on the front of the backpack. I firmly believe that the value is apparent throughout, rendering it an exceptional choice in carriers for both your beloved pet and yourself. This is a great option for traveling with medium-sized animals. The back portion unzips and lays flat so that you can zip the mesh enclosure onto it. Unfortunately, you will have to either completely remove your pet or try to do this while convincing them to stay in and out of the way. There is a clip to secure them on the inside of the bag but I feel it would have been a better idea to have the enclosure attached and not be completely separate. There are nice pockets on the outside. The straps are very well padded and everything feels durable. It isn't the most structured carrier so if you have a rambunctious pet this might not be the best option since you will feel every movement or allow the bag to allow your pet to move in ways they shouldn't. If you're pet is anxious / nervous about new things; I wouldn't recommend this because they will NOT feel safe and secure. But if you've got a critter who couldn't care less; this may be perfect for you.

This carrier has thick shoulder straps and I like that there is a belt that comes around front and buckles to keep the pack sturdier so that you aren't bouncing your pet all over as you walk. The sides don't expand but there is a removeable tent that zips onto the back to create a little mesh enclosure so that your small dog or small-medium cat can stand up and turn around and reach a food or water dish. This would be handy for a trip to the vet or if you need to move your pet from one place to another while you have other things in your hands. There aren't instructions with it, so you'll need to watch a couple of the product videos to figure out how to put the tent on. It doesn't have a lot of structure to the mesh tent, so you have to be careful because it will just fall flat very easily. If you have a skittish pet that needs to feel more secure then this might be too open for their comfort. But it does make it lighter weight and portable. This would be a good gift for anyone who is getting a kitten or a puppy and only needs a small carrier now but who might need a larger one later, because the tent can expand it a little bit, though not while you are carrying it, only while it's sitting flat.
