After I opened the package, I thought the brace looked complicated. But after further examination, I found it to have 3 Velcro straps that wrap around your foot. Then you adjust the internal steel bar to the position you want your foot to be in. And after that, there are 3 more Velcro straps to support the steel bar and keep your foot in place. I doesn't hurt me to wear the brace and I do recommend starting out with short time intervals of 30 minutes, to get your foot and muscles use to it. I gave it 5 stars because of performance, it's light weight and easy to put on.

Satisfied with this product. Fast shipping. Overall this night splint is comfortable and does what it is designed to do. The fabric is soft and velcro doesn’t touch the skin. I’ve used it for a couple nights so far and am noticing a difference in my foot/arch. I also started using a compression band during the day. Now if only I’d rest my foot more/cut down activities then I’d probably see faster improvements.

I bought this because if I walk a lot at work I get ankle pain associated with plantar fasciitis. I have tried taping my foot and it helps me get through the day but when I get home and relax then go to bed, my foot tightens up to the point that it's difficult to walk for the first 15 minutes of the day. I bought this assuming I'd just be able to wear it for short periods of time due to it being obtrusive but it is actually pretty comfortable. I can make it 4-5 hours through the night and then I take it off to give my foot a break. The best part is I wake up either completely pain free or at least significantly better than I was without this brace. I should also note that I make it a point to stand on a slant board as much as possible in order to stretch my calves as well. These two things have really helped me. I highly suggest getting this brace and wearing it as tight as you can stand so as not to cut off any blood flow. You'll see an improvement.

I have been debating getting a brace and lately nothing has been working for PF relief and I need to do something. I put the brace on for a couple hours while watching tv when I first got it and I could feel that it was doing “something” in my whole leg. Sort of like a pain, but like when you stretch and can feel it. I need to be consistent in using at night, I’m just not used to it and I’ve been woken up uncomfortable. I figured out how to use it, but wish it came with directions - not sure how tight it’s supposed to be and exact placement. If you’re ready to try something new, id recommend this product!

I came back to the Amazon purchase to see how to wear it, and after using it the first time, it is easy to put on every night. I haven’t worn it long enough to see if it works the way I want it to, but my doctor said to try to this to see if it would heal my heel pain. The price was right, and it’s easy to use.

I didn't have a ton of confidence about this item, but after two weeks of use (4-5 nights/week), I am pleasantly surprised that they work. It is a bit hassle to put on, for the first couple of times (with all the Velcros attaching to each other), but you get used to it after that. Two tips - put these on right before going to bed (not easy to walk with them on), and do not straighten the item after using (just leave them in the position/shape in which you put them on). Sleeping with these on, I feel 70-75% better off in the mornings than before.

I wasn't sure what to expect here, but it turns out that this baby works just fine! Simply strap it on, adjust for comfort, use as indicated. I have worked my way up to sleeping with it overnight, and I hardly know I'm wearing it. Very happy with my purchase.

Photos in directions are somewhat unclear and you really have to play around quite a bit with all of the tensions to get it to fit right (helps to have a second person) but once it is on and the settings are correct, it works great!
