this product was a good discovery. i used it on my husband's shoes. expensive shoes often have leather-made soles. it's been always a problem since the soles get worn out, loose its color, and become slippery. this protector helps preventing this. the application is very easy. it's several weeks since i applied them and, so far, they look very good, well glued. i'll probably get a few more to use for other shoes ... show more

I applied these to a brand new pair of leather sole cowboy boots. I utilized the sealant to keep water out. After I let them sit for approximately a week I started wearing the boots. They stayed on perfect until I was in some rain. They're still on but I think the next time they get wet that may be enough for them to fall off. As long as it's dry walking on them will restick them. But water is definitely their nemesis! ... show more

I really wanted these to work. I recently bought the most expensive footwear I’ve ever purchased. Boulet boots. I wanted to protect and prolong the soles. Before applying I walked in them on concrete for 20 minutes (the only time walking in them since purchased new). I then throughly cleaned the soles, dried and let sit for a few hours. I applied the sole protectors as instructed. Let sit overnight and went on a 20 minute walk on dry concrete. The sole protectors didn’t last the whole walk. I’m no stranger to adhesives but not an expert. I carefully and thoughtfully applied these. For the positive reviews, I have no idea on how they accomplished positive outcomes. I will state again, I cleaned the soles well (rubbing alcohol and a good amount of time to dry). Perhaps leather type, oils used by the boot maker and other variables apply. The fact I slightly scuffed up the soles on the initial walk should have aided in the adhesion, it did not. Adhesion was weak on scuffed areas and smooth areas. Adhesive seems of quality but not strong enough for this job. I would not recommend these. Others have stated using 3rd party glue, but that’s not a guarantee nor should it be necessary. ... show more

Applying these clear adhesive sheets to the bottom of my shoes adds immediate traction without altering the look of the footwear. The material is tough enough to handle abrasive pavement without peeling back at the edges.

I put these on my Meermin loafers and trusted they would work well. I was very pleased with the quality and ease of application. For this price point it can’t get much better honestly. I wanted to take them to a shoe cobbler and have them attach a rubber bottom but that would be much more expensive and time consuming. These shoes used to slipped pretty badly but now they grip greatly while protecting the sole. Also, you or others wont even know they’re on! ... show more
