Works as advertised and reasonably good construction. What I do not like is that I had to drill out the connector to push it in as the hole was about 1/16" too small to fit. The pop filter clamp is not great but it will do. These are minor issues and was able to work around them. The mic boom itself is rather sturdy and slightly stiff and holds its position nicely. Range of motion is OK and I am able to position it without too much fuss. The longer extension is worked out great. Nice value for the money.

This mic stand is much more solid than expected. The base is a solid metal tube and includes risers of different lengths to accommodate different setups. The assembly process took about 5 minutes and all pieces are self explanatory, and the result is a sleek stand that articulates to the exact position I need. Overall a great stand and I recommend it.

I stand at the mic. I'm six feet tall. If it wasn't for the shelf on my desk where this is attached, I would not be able to stand at it. I expected this based on the measurements and I planned on attaching it to the shelf to begin with, but in case anyone isn't looking at the numbers they may be thrown off by "overhead" and expect it to be able to go higher than what it does. Overall fairly standard for item in it's price range. Ok build quality, I wouldn't call it poor but not outstanding at the same time. I use it to place my mic above my 32in monitor and works great for what I bought it for.

Rather than a mic, I have it holding a lamp head over my desk. Sometimes I need a bright light directly overhead, sometimes I just want the ambient light in the room. With this, I can flip it down directly over some part I'm working on or push it up and point it at the ceiling so it just reflects the light back down. I moved this thing back and forth several times to get it just right for where I have it mounted and it works just great. he bars seem solid and didn't flex. The springs do their job and there's no twanging or any bad noises like they're being strained. They do seem to push back a bit, but that might be because I just have the tension off. If you're using this as a mic or "modifying" what is attached to it, either way, it's a solid swing arm.
