I needed something that would be an upgrade from my old/regular resistance bands that you have to step on etc. for workouts and wanted to find something that would provide improved resistance training that I could do at home, in a small space, since the gym or home gym with free weights etc. isn’t an option right now, so I thought I’d give this a try, and it more then fits the bill! I find that the option to use the “notches” on the bands is genius, since you can get decent eccentric resistance since you’re able to have some tension throughout most movements. Something I was not able to achieve with other resistance bands that had almost nothing until you were halfway to the concentric contraction because of the length (and no base to attach the bands too). Since starting with the EVO, and it’s ability for many various resistance exercises for the whole body, I’ve already noticed good gains and definition In my muscles and overall fitness. I’m a skinny-ish older guy, so I’ve also been adding a lot of protein and some extra calories to my diet to maximize my results. The build quality of the base and accessories is great, and all the printed info received with the product, the online videos from Mitchell (the owner) are really very helpful for a basic overview of what you can do with the EVO. Also their customer service has been really great and quick to respond (thanks Jim Reyes) with some of my questions etc. I saw some other reviews regarding people having frustrations with changing the bands on the base between exercises, and I get it, it’s a bit of a learning curve, but once you “get it” it’s not really that bad at all, and you’ll get fast at it (look at it as your rest time between sets). But I do agree that the door anchor/band connection bracket can be bit “clunky” to work with, but it’s pretty ingenious for how it can work with the notched bands, but yeah, I do struggle with it at times. I also really appreciate that Nomadix makes sure you are very aware of the limitations of resistance bands, unlike other companies that usually just gloss over this, or don’t even make you aware that as these latex bands get older, or are pushed beyond their ability they may snap. it’s happened to me with other ones I’ve had, and yeah, it's jarring, but that’s just the reality of these things. Just got to remember to try to inspect them as best you can for wear etc. At least Nomadix offers FREE replacements if a band should break, or is received with any issues! I’m a VERY happy customer, and really have been enjoying getting my motivation back for muscle building & strength training since seeing my results with the EVO - Thanks guys!

I usually don't write reviews, but the Evogym is really quite good. I've been using it for about 3 months now and have been exceptionally pleased with it for a number of reasons: 1) There is a huge variety of exercises you can do with it and once you get a feel for how to load and unload each exercise, it feels safe and secure. (Use a wide stance with any heavy lifts.) 2) The ability to gradually increase weight for progressive overload is fantastic. I've seen really noticeable results in my arms, legs, back, and chest. And you can really load it up for deadlifts and squats. 3) I had a band break on me, because of a mistake I made. The company replaced them despite me admitting my error and said that they stand by their product no matter what. They even gave me updates on the shipping progress of the replacement. And they sent me 2 instead of 1. 4) I don't use this anywhere but at home, but it's nice and small and I can slide it under the bed in a second. It's easily portable for any sort of driving trip. Not sure I'd put it in a suitcase and on a plane, but you could. I just think all the bands might worry TSA. 5) The overall construction feels solid. The base plate is good. The bar is 3 pieces, but it's rock solid and the padding is holding up well. The handles are plastic, but seem solid. The leg straps are easy to put on and take off. Overall just a really solid piece of gym equipment that has helped me get in surprisingly good shape. It's hard when you start loading up weight and that's perfect!

I think this is a great portable gym system that allows a full range of eccentric and concentric exercises. This is something that was very important to me as I was choosing a product. I'm looking forward to future iterations of this, and I hope that the maker can incorporate some of this feedback. 1. It needs to be _a lot_ lighter. I travel quite a bit and the current weight is already above what I would bring with me for a single item. I'm convinced that using a lighter, stronger material is possible. Additionally, the underside of the platform can be cut down further. I would pay a much higher premium if you could bring the weight down by a factor of 2x. 2. Built-in locking mechanism and improved storage. It's quite cumbersome to pack all the items together correctly so that the base can close properly. Moreover, once you do close the base, you have to use another item to keep it securely closed. The two ends should snap together when closed with a latch to keep it secure. 3. Rotating ends of bar and handles using ball bearings. The ends of these handles could rotate and thus provide much smoother extensions and pullbacks without creating unnecessary coiling or tangling on the bands. Not sure if this makes sense, but you can look to Crossrope jump ropes as an example. 4. Provide exercises by muscle group in a one pager or poster. I would stick this poster right in front of me as I go through the exercises, so I don't have to think about what I need to do. Overall, love the product and will definitely keep my eye out for a V2.

As a life long, naturally thin, non-exerciser that maintained weight by being active in hobbies, I suddenly needed an exercise routine to battle menopause weight. So far, this system fits the bill. It helps me tone muscles and I dont need to buy a gym membership. I cant speak yet on durability but I believe if a band breaks I can just ask for a replacement and its free. The system is versatile and not cumbersome. Also it doesnt break the bank and does not occupy a lot of space. Worth the small investment in time and money.
