iT WORKS, Its quiet, so far so good , i bought this psu to replace a dying corsair rm750 . with upgrades in mind. i like it fully modular , cable sleeves are clean , and the ends of the cable are labeled clearly! as you get older trust me it matters . the velcro wire ties were a nice touch . the packaging was well done , psu was bagged and cushioned , though i would have liked the cables bagged . but that's just a personal thought. the psu tester is a nice addition , no more paperclip! ... show more

    • EVGA DOESN'T DO THINGS ON THE CHEAP, PERIOD!
What I liked - EVERYTHING!!! I got EVERYTHING (the screws, the cables - really, the WHOLE DARN THING! was in the box, when you buy from EVGA you'll get all the things you'll need to complete that part of the PC installation process (in this case the power supply). Inside the box you'll find all the needed cables for all the parts of your PC you're gonna need to get your GPU set up, the SSD's need to still get power, they are there too AND the all these different power cables are NOT the "cheapo kind" that you'll sometimes get when buying from a "non-name brand" PSU's of a lesser priced unit with the same wattage output (1000 Watts in this case). EVGA DOES NOT SCRIMP ON THEIR PSU's - THEY ARE TOP NOTCH COMPONENTS EVERY TIME, YOU CAN BANK ON IT!!! You really can't go wrong buying EVGA products (I really do own one of their GPU's as well - the NVIDIA based GTX 1070)! If you have bought one of these modern GPU's for your PC you MUST match it with a WELL BUILT power supply that can ACTUALLY PUT OUT WHAT THAT GPU IS DEMANDING - That is where EVGA's Power Supply's come into the picture, you'll REALLY GET EXACTLY WHAT YOUR PC IS DEMANDING... and then some! Get one of these PS and then once you're done installing it you can thank me later... :) What I didn't like: Nothing... "SIMPLY NOTHING" was wrong... PERIOD!!!     • Excellent versatile PSU
It has all the connections you could possibly want including for hardware coming out or is already out from both Intel and AMD that will be pulling more power for the CPU. It has two, 2x4 pin connections (16 pins) to feed the CPU, and it has 6 cables for the GPU. You can't really run that much with this PSU because it's only 1000W, but you could certainly feed 2 GPUs that each use about 300W along with a power hungry CPU like a 12900K that can eat 245W when it's running an all-core (100% CPU utilization) load. I don't think I would, but this should be able to handle it. It will really be better for handling a power hungry CPU along with a single power hungry GPU that uses near 500W. That gives the PSU some overhead. Personally I don't like loading a PSU to over 2/3 its rating just to have plenty of overhead, because over time a PSU loses capacity for power generation. So, you load up a 1000W PSU with 600W on a regular basis and you probably only have 10 years max. This is of course way past a warranty period but PSUs can last over 10 years. So, it's plenty versatile, but if you're going to run 2 power hungry GPUs at the same time AND a power hungry CPU you probably need to step up to 1200W. And by power hungry I'm talking about GPUs that can consume over 300W when running heavy loads. ... show more

As my own rule of thumb I try to keep my maximum possible power consumption to no more than 75% of the output of a PSU, so when I got a new GPU I also needed a more powerful PSU. It works great, is nice and quiet, but I didn’t like that my already routed and managed cables wouldn’t work, which is why I only gave 4 stars. ... show more

No issues over several months of ownership. Powers my RTX 3080 Ti system with no issues. The fit and finish of the supply and cables seems to be very good. Not much to same, its a power supply and it either works or does not work.
