  • 1660 XC Black
Recently got this for my budget build, so far it's worked amazingly, and I assume it will still be working great down the line as well. Runs games great at 1080p, high-ultra settings, possibly 1440p at lower settings, but my monitor is 1080p. Very compact, I have a small case and it fits well, though I had to unplug some LED cables, I would recommend a mid tower case though. ... show more

  • Would not work on my system
I had to return this card because it turns out it was not compatible with my older Acer Predator G3620 a very powerful computer with I7 3.4 Mhz processor and 12 gigabyte of ram. The problem was that it came with Windows 7 and a Bios that is not upgradeable to UEFI. I found out that most of the newer cards coming out will not work on the so called legacy motherboards like mine. I contacted EVGA to confirm weather this card has this restriction and he told me that if your motherboard BIOS is not UEFI compliant the BIOS won't recognize the card. I asked him why they don't add this to their list of system compatibility he said with so many different system out there they can not put that in there. I should mention Just for GP what happened after I installed GTX 1660 XC Black Gaming, 6GB in my system . I turned on the computer it booted up showing the opening logo and Bios screen beep once then twice a couple of seconds later a third and a colored line appeared at the top of the screen after that nothing. I reinstalled my original card (GTX 660TI ) and it worked fine. So if you have a Legacy motherboard check to see if it is UEFI or if there is a BIOS update that gives it UEFI compatibility mine did not only the ones that had windows 8 installed from the factory, what a rip off. The one star rating is because If the knew this they should at least add a foot note and save all the returns made and for those who buy this card from where returns may not be possible. ... show more

  • Consider me a Nvidia convert!
I've been an avid fan of AMD graphic cards, as a Linux user and Open Source advocate. I'm also a simulation racer and these titles tend to run better on Nvidia cards. I decided to give this card a go, with the hopes of better performance in sim racing titles and also for VR gaming - all in 1080p, by preference, as I'm not looking to make the jump to 4K just yet. This card performs practically flawless for 1080 gaming and works very well for almost all VR titles I've tried. Stepping up from an AMD R9 380, I'm now running almost everything on Ultra with no issues, when I've gotten quite accustomed to running Medium settings the past few years. The GeForce Experience automatically Optimizing games is absolutely incredible and has worked flawlessly in nearly every title I've tried. This has eliminated the time I was so dreading trying to get all of my games running right after swapping graphics cards. I'm very pleased and highly recommend this card to anyone looking for rock solid 1080p gaming. ... show more

  • Perfect GPU for 1080p gaming
I was able to get the GTX 1660 on sale for $209. And at 1080p on high or ultra settings I am getting 60 fps on most of my games which include Destiny 2, GTA V, Anthem, and WWE 2k16 to list a few. My low to mid rig is a i3 8100 with 16 gb ram. I have noticed that going from a GTX 1050 ti to the GTX 1660 besides almost doubling the frames per second that the loading times for games are cut in half as well. Something i did not expect. Now the card takes up 3 slots width wise. But I knew that when i bought it. Well worth the money after seeing the difference in Destiny 2. thank you EVGA. ... show more

  • Decent option Mid 2019 when on sale
Got it for like 209$ in summer '19 when price dropped which was a deal then. For a fresh Ryzen 3600 'Old Man' gamer build. Getting 970 FPS in Minecraft Java on Extreme setting. :) All jokes aside, 60fps high+ 1080 Shadow Tombraider. Serious nevnc encoding speed. Just a good middling choice elqhen cost was a thing, now the Super is out and that makes this Ob So Leet. Feb 2021 still cranking, who would of guessed they would go UP in value? ... show more

  • Runs Great and easy to OC
I had a 760 ti before this and what a difference. So many cool graphic features that I never saw in games like reflection, and weather effects. Its really easy to overclock with the x1 app. I have a 1080p monitor and the graphics card has no problem playing games on high settings. I believe the features on this card outweigh the competitors at this price point. I wish I had money for a 2080 but to be realistic I don't know how much of a difference it would be in 1080p. Im very happy with the purchase. ... show more

  • Lost the coil whine lottery
My RX-580 died from overclocking and I needed a new GPU so I went with my old favorite eVGA. I got the XC Black single fan unit. All I do is play WOW so this card basically is more than I need. Works terrific, runs cool. One problem - the damn coil whine. Or what I think is coil whine anyway. The card produces a bizarre loud noise every few seconds. I'm not sure if it's the fan or if it's the coil but I suspect it's probably the coil. ... show more

  • WOW... Great value
I picked this card up on sale for ~$200... The value here is incredible. I've overclocked the cores to 2000+mhz, and I'm currently beating the gtx 1080 in benchmarks. I can't say enough good things about this card and about EVGA. I've used them for various components for many many years in my PC's and they only continue to impress me. I truly hope that never changes. ... show more
