  • Works great
I haven't had any issues running this in my photo-editing rig. It came with much of what I needed. The three cables that are not modular, you need. One for the graphics card and two for the motherboard. The only cable I needed to add was for the SATA that I'm using for the SSD and the BDR. They included one SATA data cable. I used it for the BDR and ordered an extra 6.0 Gbps SATA III cable for the SSD. This fit fine in my case pointed down, which is preferred. This is my first EVGA power supply. I have heard of their great customer service. I hope I never have to use it. This rig is protected with a APC Battery Back-UPS, 1350VA (BN1350G) and a surge protector. • Fan making strange noises.
I have several of these power supply and consider these the best for my needs. Been using them for years. I purchased another one and the fan was making a ticking sound followed by intermittent squeezing noises. I suspect this was just a fluke, but I am returning it. I will still continue to order these power supplies in the future however. Great modular design, usually bullet proof and last for years. I suspect I just received a bad one. Great power supply though. Love them! ... show more

  • Rock Steady Power Supply!
This thing is a wonderful piece of engineering! The noise level is incredibly low to the point where only my computer case fans are the only thing louder, the amount of wattage supplied to my computer is enough to support the heavy duty hardware I'm boasting without an issue (however I don't overclock it, so I'm not too sure how well it fares in that area!), and the installation and removal for cleaning is a breeze. Do you need a new power supply well worth your money? Well, you found it! ... show more

  • Perfect for Any Gamer with More Than One Graphics Card or More Than Two Storage Devices
I used to have a EVGA 500 BQ 80+ Bronze PSU in my rig that had one i7-3770 processor, one SSD, one HDD, one GTX 1060 6GB graphics card, 24GB RAM, two optical drives, a water-cooled system with two 120mm fans on its radiator, three case fans, and a PCI Wi-Fi/Bluetooth card. I recently wanted to upgrade the storage in my rig by adding two more storage devices when my PC started freaking out. I assumed that I messed something up until I disconnected the two extra storage devices and noticed that everything seemed to have been running fine again. At this time, I also ran a benchmark on my graphics card, only to find that it was running so poorly that I couldn't even play NBA 2k17 without having some serious lagging! So, I contacted the company that I bought the card from for a replacement, and in the time waiting for a reply from them, I decided to see if my PSU could likely have been the problem by not being able to supply enough power to everything, causing the PC to freak out and the graphics card to bottleneck. After installing this PSU, I've noticed so many improvements! The GPU no longer is being bottlenecked (I can run Skyrim on its highest settings!), I can add both storage devices without any issues, and the PC seems to be running more smoothly overall! I learned out of my experience that this PSU is best used for gamers who have either more than two storage devices or more than one mid-to-high-end graphics cards, as our PC gets very power hungry then! The semi-modularity is also perfect for anyone who plans on grabbing one of these. The only three cables that don't disconnect are the 20+4-pin and 4-pin motherboard connectors and the 6-pin graphics card connector. Otherwise, all other VGA, SATA, and PERIF cables that are included can be connected or disconnected as needed! ... show more

  • Solid, but maybe there’s something about EVGA units?
It’s a solid unit, however I think there may be a problem with EVGA units. I’ve only had 3 units all from EVGA. The Gold 550, the gold 750 that just gave out after 3 years, and now the 750 bronze. Each kinda had their own problems. Ranging from it sounding like metal on metal or in the case of the 750 Bronze, it ramps up full speed seemingly for any newer game. Older games from maybe like 2015 and before have no problem and it doesn’t ramp up, but newer games from 2016 and beyond regardless of resolutions of 1080p and 1440p seem to just ramp up. And the system itself is cool so the psu itself shouldn’t just be ramping up like that. I’ve felt the airflow in the back and the psu feels like it’s pushing out more air than my own fans. I’m not sure why it does this with some games. Overall it’s a solid unit but maybe in a few months if it worsens I may be looking towards a Bequiet or Coolermaster unit. Kinda goes to show that maybe it’s good to branch out and try other brands. ... show more

  • Killer Value
I purchased this 750BQ to replace an older model from 2013. Not much has changed in 9 years but the 750BQ is still a crazy solid performer in 2022. It runs my 3700x / 2080ti FTW3 combo without issue and I’ve never felt it get warm or struggle. These are very very good PSU’s for the money.
