  • Great for budget build
Pattern: Power Supply
It's a dated power supply but worked great in my budget build and still works great I definitely recommend for a budget build.

  • Amazon Warehouse wins again
Pattern: Power Supply
I was looking for a decent quality, ~550w+ PSU at a good price and while perusing the Amazon listings I found this one listed from Amazon Warehouse "Used - Like New" for 26.40USD. Arriving in two days flat, it was indeed like new down to that new PSU smell and screws still sealed. Hooked right up and works fine. It is powering a modest mATX i3-12100 system and tested with a 3070 under load (dual PCIe powered by pigtail singular PCIe cable) works as expected. I'm a regular buyer and user of EVGA products anyhow and this PSU is up to their standards as always. 5/5 ... show more

  • Very simple installation!
Pattern: Power Supply
Disconnect current power supply from components. Remove the four screws from your power supply and snap out the power supply. Then replace with the EVGA 600 and snap into place. Replace the four screws. Connect power cables to mother board and drives. You are finished! It took me maybe 10 minutes and I am slow. I read the included instruction, but the installation is very intuitive. The EVGA 600 also has an on-off switch on it, obviously it needs to be in the on position for the computer to run. The EVGA 600 appears to be great quality and good construction speaking as an engineer. This is an excellent power supply if you are to run powerful video cards, or if you want a very quiet power supply. ... show more

  • sounds like a moped - but the replacement works great.
Pattern: Power Supply
off the bat, the fan rattled and sounded like a little moped. Hope for an exchanged unit with normal performance. Disappointed given its high rating, but lemons do slip through the QC line sometimes. This poor rating will stay so that others can be warned of the risk of poor quality control. Update: the old trick of telly slapping worked for some mysterious reason. As I prepared to pull the unit out, a screwdriver handle accidentally slapped hard on the unit. Just to be sure nothing went wrong, I turned on the computer and surprisingly, the noise was gone. The fan was running but the unit was quiet like a church mouse. Wish I had done it earlier. In any case. a replacement came in, and it worked fine as well. So, occasionally, there might be a problem of packaging or shipping. When it works, it is fine. ETA: The rating has been changed to 5 stars: Recently, there was a power flash (prob just one second). In the past, the computer would have been off and had to be manually restarted. This power supply has sufficient capacitance that the computer did not restart. If the first unit came in without the strange fan noise, it should be 5 stars. So, it is strongly recommended, just hope for a non-defective unit. It has been over one and half years and it's still great. Recently another computer had a power failure, which made this unit more valuable for being reliable - for now. ... show more

  • Perfect for Me!
Pattern: Power Supply
So - I needed to upgrade my old Dell XPS 8900 (i7-6700) to more of a game machine. But, even though it probably would have been fine, the stock PSU was only 460 watts and the GPU manufacturer recommended 500 watt minimum. So I did some research - weeded out cheaply made off-brands - and settled on the EVGA 600 watt 80+ bronze PSU as a solid price / quality / energy efficient solution. And I'm glad I did. This power supply fit my XPS 8900 case PERFECTLY - which I was worried about. It is WAY quiet, pushes out so much more air than the stock PSU, and was SO easy to install. And 600W is FAR more than I'll ever need on this machine. And I have lots of goodies hooked up and this PSU doesn't make a peep or break a sweat. 6700 CPU, Radeon 590 GPU, Samsung EVO 970 SSD, internal sata 1TB HD, internal sata DVD R/W drive, 32GB Ram, External USB 1 TB drive, External USB 2 TB drive, logitech C920 USB webcam, charges my phone, AND lights up my headset. This PSU doesn't even blink. I feel I made a perfect purchase for my needs. ... show more

  • Solid and Reliable Budget Power Supply with Minor Drawbacks
Pattern: Power Supply
I’ve been using the EVGA 600 BR, 80+ Bronze 600W Power Supply for a while now, and overall, it’s a great budget-friendly option for low to mid-range builds. It offers reliable performance and decent efficiency, but there are a few minor issues to be aware of. The build quality is solid and feels durable. The casing is sturdy, and the sleeved cables give it a clean, organized look. The internal components seem reliable, and it runs cool and stable even under moderate loads. With 600W of power and an 80+ Bronze rating, it provides efficient and consistent performance. It handles low to mid-range gaming PCs and general-purpose builds with ease. No noticeable power fluctuations or instability during heavy gaming sessions. Installation was straightforward. The cables are long enough to reach components comfortably in most mid-tower cases. The included connectors cover all the essentials: 24-pin ATX, 8-pin CPU, PCIe, SATA, and Molex. The 120mm fan runs quietly, even under load. It keeps the PSU cool without creating excess noise, which is a big plus for quieter builds. Issues I would like to mention: The PSU is non-modular, which means you’ll have to deal with extra cables even if you don’t need them. This can lead to more cable clutter, making it harder to keep your build tidy. While the 80+ Bronze rating is fine for most builds, it’s not as efficient as Gold or Platinum-rated PSUs. For high-end gaming rigs or power-hungry setups, you might want to consider a more efficient model as this is more suited for low to mid-range budget builds. It comes with a 3-year warranty, which is decent but shorter than the 5- or 10-year warranties offered by some competing brands. Overall: The EVGA 600 BR is a great value for budget low to mid-range builds. It offers reliable power delivery, quiet performance, and easy installation. While the non-modular design creates some cable management challenges, it’s a small trade-off for the price. If you’re looking for an affordable and dependable PSU, this is a GREAT choice. ... show more
