The boots are heavy leather yet comfortable out of the box. They need to break in as any boot does to conform to your foot, but the soft leather is comfortable, no chafing or sore areas. I wear a size 14 and they had a 14 to begin with, I'm very pleased with that. I wear them in the snow. They are warm enough and water resistant so far. The laces do seem a little anemic to me, but I've never had a boot where the laces that come with weren't. The souls get good traction in the dirt and snow. I use them for working with my animals, cleaning stalls, etc.. The boot is thin enough to fit stirrups on my saddle. I should note that my feet are thin and long and I've had difficulty finding boots that fit right; these fit right. The seller sent me a thank you letter a few days before I got them, even. This bodes well if I ever have a problem with them. I've had a lot of boots over the years and I'd buy these again in a heartbeat. ... show more

I am a project manager for a real-estate developer. I am not wearing these every single day or doing construction, but wear them few days a week while walking and managing job sites. Very solid reliable boots so far, soft and comfy inside. Seem to hold up well.

So far after the first week, the boots are very comfortable, they do need more breaking in time, but after almost 5 miles of walking per day they are very nice. Also the overall quality is good, and the appearance is nice, I will try to update this, and so far do highly recommend these boots.     • There is alot of room (height) in the boot, to much.

I ordered the size (9.5) I normally wear and it fit my foot well. The issue is there is alot of room in the boot and the back of the boot is pretty flat. You can't lace them tight enough around the ankle to reduce movement. I tried them on and I am returning them. I have never had this issue until this boot, with them having to much height inside. I considered they might work with insoles, but I am not going to waste time trying. Its possible they just have issue making smaller sizes. My review is based on wearing probably 100 pair of boots in my life. I was in the military and I judge all boots from that perspective. If a boot is to loose it will cause heel blisters and too tight it can cause toe blisters. ... show more

After 4 years and many projects my boots are finally ready for a replacement. These served me well. I did buy a different sole cushion from home depot - which made them even better. I can't remember what happened to the old cushions. Great value at a good price
