    • Scoring tool is a waste.
While this is a great value, the scoring tool is not good. I have these for my high school students (I bought 50 kits) and the scoring tools are all falling apart: the wire parts are falling out of the handle. I find this frustrating as the students paid for the kits. Next time I will look for a better quality product. ... show more

I am an art student that is currently enrolled in a clay-throwing class and we were required to have these tools. These work great, especially for someone just starting out. I recommend looking up what you can do with the tools if you are unsure, but overall great product. The only thing I wasn't a fan of about this is that it had a cheaper feel to the wood and some of the tools, but they still work just fine. ... show more

These are good for the price. However, after using them for about 4 months (2 or 3 times a week) several of the metal ends have started coming out of the wooden handle on the tools. They just pop back in so it's not a huge deal, just kind of annoying. If you just need a started pack to learn which items you like and then buy better quality ones, this is a perfect option! ... show more

    • Good enough for the money, rusts quickly
I was taking a beginners pottery course and these definitely did the trick but after only 3 weeks most of the tools have begun to rust. I dry off my tools after each use but with this set, you are getting what you are paying for. The rust hasn’t compromised the use of the tools yet, though I’m assuming it will at some point. Also, as a beginner, I didn’t need the majority of these tools- maybe they’ll come in handy later. I think if I continue on with pottery I’ll invest in a higher quality set. ... show more
