This ice maker is perfect. It's not too large like most stand-alone makers but far better than the tiny little countertop models you have to constantly fill with water and empty the ice tray every 20min. This connects right to a water supply line and cones with a filter. We have ours connected to a 5 stage filtration unit and the ice tastes great. For the same price as some of those tiny countertop units this machine makes up to 70lbs of ice a day. No filling a water tray constantly. We have the drain hose running out a window with a cheesecloth fikter on the end to keep anything feom entering the hose but you can easily have it drain into a milk jug on the floor, into your sink, pretty much anywhere. It can hold about 10lbs of ice inside. Unlike the famed nugget ice this ice is solid and lasts much longer. It also works great to bag it up and throw it in the freezer, where nugget ice just turns into a solid block of ice. We use 5lb bags and I keep at least 4 on hand in our stand-up freezer. After having 2 of the smaller ones (bullet and nugget) i'm glad we decided on this unit. It's still small enough to fit on a countertop, we placed ours on top of our water cooler.

So I've had this ice maker for a few weeks now and I really like it. It has eight different settings for the length of time on the ice and I found that number two is the best one. It makes almost full cubes and it breaks apart fairly easily when it falls. When it arrived it was packaged extremely well and undamaged. And I was impressed with the quality versus what I paid for it cuz it wasn't that expensive.

The ONLY THING I might find that would improve this would be I'd prefer it to have that candy apple red glow. This is the right color red and I knew it was the plain red color when I bought it...but the price was SO GOOD FOR THE QUALITY, I chose this one ON PURPOSE!! I am AMAZED by this icemaker!! It can make several days worth of ice for me and my husband within an hour! The first cubes MAY take a bit longer than 6 minutes to turn out...but I'm sure it has to cool first...however after those first cubes are tossed into the basket...you can count on it putting out 9 cubes of ice EVERY 6 MINUTES until the water is used up or you need to empty the basket!! The icemaker on our Kenmore Refrigerator went out after being completely replaced only 6 months earlier. Having it replaced AGAIN WOULD HAVE COST US ALMOST HALF the cost of a NEW Refrigerator! Since Kenmore has it wired so that you cannot remove the non working icemaker without causing the refrigerator to stop running altogether...we really couldn't use good Ole fashioned ice trays, because there was little room for them. We had been without ice for 2 years before I heard that there was such a thing as a countertop icemaker. I am able to put the ice from this icemaker into my freezer ice compartment and they come out the door wonderfully sweet!! I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER!!

The ice maker worked fine for about 8 months (i had the maker for 10 monhs,I was away for 2 months). I make a lot of ice. So much so that I have a second. Unit made by A. Different Manufacturer. I only use fiji or essentia water in both units. I also clean them regularly with a steam unit and descaling product. It stopped making ice in early March. I contacted customer support on March 19th. 1st the rep told me its possible that i use the unit too much... 🤔 i swear, she said that. I think that comment speaks for itself. I sent photos, video, etc. It was suggested by her that i remove the cover, turn some needle and try again. At first i refused. Now they want me to be a sercvice technician!! She offered a 30% refund ! Which i refused. 30% ??? ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!??? She then said, if I try her suggestions and it didn't bring the unit back to life, promised she would replace the unit. So, i said, ok I'm game, and I did what she asked. Needless to say, it still wouldnt produce ice. After which, her solution Was that she would send me a new water pump from China, which would take 2 weeks!!! AND (HERE COMES THE BEST PART...) I COULD REPLACE IT!!! 😄😄😄😄😄😄😄 I SWEAR, I'M NOT KIDDING!!!! WHAT A JOKE!!! Imagine your Mechanic Says to you, you need a new water pump. I'll have one sent to you and then you replace it. 😄😄🤷♀️🤷♂️🙈🤡🤡 You can probably imagine my answer. She said she could offer me 60% refund. They would have sold me a warranty, but (Germany ready for this) I bought the unit on May 11 2022. The warranty was only available for one year, meaning May 11 2023. And I would've had to PAY FOR IT!! WoWEeeee!! I started this process 23 emails before on MARCH 19TH!!! YOU CANT MAKE THIS STUFF UP FOLKS!!! So my advice is buy A SILONN ICE MAKER!! 🧊 IT works great, makes great ice and apparently it can handle frequent use 😀 😉 😄 😜

Great little ice maker. Makes ice super fast. Not ideal to keep it running at all times. Ice gets melty. I make several bags and shut it off. When extra ice is needed, have a lot in short amount of time.
