I’ve only had this machine about a week. I had the older model for about four or five years and for the last year I’ve been getting the famous E2 error code and sometimes I could reset it and it would make a batch of ice or it may even fill up the bin and then it finally got to where it would only make a batch every time I push the start button to get it going again. I saw that they had a new model out so I decided to go ahead and buy a new one and so far this machine is great it makes a batch about every seven or eight minutes and it drops it like it should and once it goes into the harvest cycle, it takes only about a minute to a minute and a half for it to drop the batch of ice. My old machine had a problem, not dropping the ice when it went into harvest and I think that’s because the plates were needing some type of real deep cleaning. I had cleaned the machine several times but this machine I hope will be one that doesn’t start the famous E2 error code! I have noticed a review someone did who complained about the machine filling up and the ice melting..and the bin was holding lots of water….Duh..The ice bin is not refrigerated and you’re supposed to connect a drain to it so the bin won’t hold water. Also said if you put the ice in your freezer it freezes together….Duh…purchase the 10 lb ice bags, fill with ice and freeze. When you take it out pound it on the counter a few times and ice cubes will break apart. For those who still suffer the E-2 code. Try this as it worked for my old machine for a while. Put a level on top of it and adjust the front legs in about 5 to 10 turns to make the machine tilt forward slightly. I did that and the next morning the bin was full.

Comically terrible experience with this machine starting with the startup. Instructions recommend running clean cycle twice, which is convenient considering the plug for the overflow water comes non existent with new unit so clean cycle is all your able to do. Once you patch the overflow drain with flex seal you can then struggle to operate the control panel, I say struggle because it is not responsive to touch unless you reboot the machine and adjust time before the ice production initiates, you get 4 seconds though so you may have luck. Check out the instructions, available in abstract English. First batch of ice is stuck in the machine. I really don’t want to return it as it is cumbersome to repack and installation required some plumbing

So I've had this ice maker for a few weeks now and I really like it. It has eight different settings for the length of time on the ice and I found that number two is the best one. It makes almost full cubes and it breaks apart fairly easily when it falls. When it arrived it was packaged extremely well and undamaged. And I was impressed with the quality versus what I paid for it cuz it wasn't that expensive.

This is our second ice machine! It works for what we need it for! The first one we bought was wonderful! This ice machine same brand didn’t produce the same amount of ice as the first one. However, it stays cleaner than the first one! When the ice falls it doesn’t break apart like it should. So be ready to break it apart before you bag or scoop! It’s a great price and pays for itself eventually!
