I already had the cameras and I loved all the features so I purchased this again when it went on sale. I am hoping my first purchase was just a bad egg.     • Firmware updates to be compatible
I own the Spaceview S camera and monitor (paid $199 for this is Oct of 2021). I needed a second camera for second child, and for the price decided to buy a new camera and monitor combo since the add on camera alone is so expensive. I purchased the newer Spaceview Pro. Disappointed the only noticeable differences are the Pro has longer battery life, doesn't need an extendable antenna, and of course is much larger in size/weight due to the bigger battery. released with longer battery life, but now much larger unit. Not much of a change or improvement. My disappointment is that you CANNOT add the two cameras because the firmware for each unit is different. With wifi products, firmware updates are usually automatic and occur with the click of a button. These baby monitors are NOT wifi, they use radio frequencies. So to update the firmware you need to go to Eufy website, download the zip file of the firmware you need, unzip (extract) the files, use a USB cord with data transfer capabilities to transfer first the camera firmware update, then repeat for the monitor firmware update. Once both updated, you can then add cameras. Unfortunately after being in contact with support by live chat and phone, I was unsuccessful. I cannot update the firmware, and therefore cannot add a camera to either unit. Eufy as a company is always working with customers to try and find resolutions for any issues or concerns. I like their customer service a d would recommend their products to friends/family, but not these monitors if they need two cameras for a single monitor. ... show more

    • Updated - Love some things, severely lacking on others
So I've been using the Euphy for about 3months. I wanted to love it so much, but the cons simply outweigh the pros. Euphy - if you are listening, please have your product people make these changes and I will be the first one in line to purchase a new monitor: Pros: 1. Excellent picture quality 2. Even better battery life - if anyone has had an infant optics DXR-8, you understand how amazing this is! 3. Does not contain an antenna - yes, it is a brick, but it's well designed and hard to break and I like that... and yes, my toddler did completely sever the antenna off of our DXR-8. Cons: 1. There is no sound indicator outside of the screen - if I turn the volume all the way down (sometimes necessary for sleep training or if I'm in the room next to my child and don't need an instant replay of the sound) and forget to turn it back up later, there is no way for me to know that my child is crying unless I happen to be looking at the monitor. There are no led lights or "auto-on" feature for the visual monitor so I could be completely in the dark if my child is crying - this is the biggest flaw if you ask me. 2. There is no way for me to keep the monitor awake indefinitely (If I am wrong about this, please let me know. It would really help solve con #1). Sometimes I take a shower while my child is napping, but 5 minutes in, I am completely in the dark because the screen goes dark. due to con #1, I don't even know if they are crying unless I frequently jump out of the shower to hit the awake button. 3. The sound is a bit muffled. It's hard for me to hear my kids different "cries" through this monitor. I may think they are mildly upset based on what I am hearing from the monitor, but when I hear them with my own ears it could be a much sharper, urgent, do something right now type of cry which I would react to differently vs. what I hear in the monitor. original review - Picture quality is excellent, but for some reason I can't get the sound to go up very high. Not sure if I have a faulty unit or if all of them are like this. When I was doing my research most people said the sound captured too much noise, but I'm having the opposite problem. ... show more

UPDATE: Their customer service is amazing. They contacted me and sent a replacement. Not sure what happened with the previous one but the new one works great!! I bought this for our baby who is now 7 months old. We didn’t use this up until recently as she’s just started going to sleep earlier and staying asleep. After a few uses the monitor will no longer work, it says it’s charging and I try to turn it on. It stays on for about 30 seconds and shuts off. I let it charge all night and day and it’s still doing the same thing. I’ve tried resetting it and nothing. I’m very upset as LOVED this monitor until now but I will not be buying a new one I will go with a different brand. ... show more
