I've had my scale for about 10 months. It needed to be charged for the first time since I first got it, but I couldn't get it to charge. I contacted Etekcity, received an email reply the next day, and was told my scale was warranted for two years and they would be glad to replace it. They also gave me tips on charging it. I was doing it incorrectly. I was using a USB-C/USB-C cord and a quick charger. Needed to use an old style USB/USB-C cord (which had been included with the scale, I'de stuck it in my kitchen junk drawer and forgotten about) and regular charger. lol Actually sometimes I use this scale to weigh my mail! Ok being honest, I've only used it so far for mail and packages so I could buy postage. It has worked amazing for that and I am sure it will for food too, which was my original purpose for getting the scale in the first place. My scale (which I loved for 15 years) finally died - I was distraught, especially as I bake using weights. The Etekcity scale is SO great. First of all, the lines are clean and easy to keep clean. I love the fact that there are fluid measurements as well as dry. The display is easy to read, hold measurements, calibrate, etc. I'd give this more stars if I could. Please take a chance on it!
