It will do what I want it to when I get it on. The problem was the toilet seat has a metel hinge and the bolts are are part of it, not long enoungh for extention so I have to get a new seat. So if U want to get this check your seat 1rst that it has bolt holes and not part of hinge. If U need a new seat also they have the pair here. It will be great for old people that don't get around so good or tall people. ... show more

It may have been my own fault for not taking measurements but this seat does not fit. It seems like it may be an acceptable seat riser for the money but its NOT RETURNABLE!. Again maybe it said it somewhere on the page, but i have never ordered anything from Amazon that was not returnable. I'll be more attentive to return details from now on. ... show more

It had no real way to keep the seat from sliding around, so I used a whole roll of extra thick, heavy double sided tape to hold the seat from on the toilet rim along with the long bolts
