The purple shade is very dark-- no one realizes it is purple until I tell them. Those who are looking for statement eyeliner should look elsewhere! These pencils are easy to sharpen and last a long time. This is my daily eyeliner and one typically lasts me 3-4 months. The line is long-lasting as well-- I put it on in the AM and never have to touch it up even on my oily lids. It removes fairly easy with makeup remover or petroleum jelly. Buy it now!!!

I picked up the essence Stay & Play Gel Eyeliner on a whim, and it’s honestly one of the best budget eyeliners I’ve tried. It’s super soft, glides on easily, and stays in place most of the day. Pros: Smooth Application: The gel formula is creamy and easy to apply—no tugging or skipping. Great Pigment: Comes out bold and rich, even in one swipe. Affordable: At this price, it’s a steal—feels like a product twice the cost. Waterline Friendly: Gentle enough to use on the waterline without irritation. Decent Staying Power: Holds up well through most of the day without major smudging. Cons: Needs Sharpening: It’s not a twist-up, so you’ll need a sharpener to keep the tip precise. Can Smudge on Oily Skin: If you have very oily lids, it may fade or smudge after a few hours. Not Waterproof: It’s long-lasting, but not completely waterproof—will fade with heavy sweating or rubbing. I like the gel, goes on smooth. But you can’t sharpen it. So once you use the small tip it’s gone. Not worth the money.

It looks great but it doesn’t stay on long. It is easy to sharpen and apply. The color is nice and better than white liner. It’s less harsh. The texture is good and goes on smoothly. I just wish it lasted longer while it’s on.
