This is the second time I bought this smart case cover. The first case lasted two years and it did not fall apart but just became too soiled to use comfortably. When I decided to buy another one Amazon made it very easy because it shows you your previous purchases and I simply re-ordered it. It appears to be but certainly is not !!! … The quality is not the same as my purchase two years ago. The cover is extremely flimsy and the magnets no longer hold .... I absolutely do not recommend this and have to purchase another brand ASAP Buying another one is the highest recommendation I can make. ... show more

    • Great but beware of the crud look!

The product is great other than one small thing. When you have the cover opened, the side that is soft that otherwise is against the screen is a grunge collector. The side against the screen becomes the back side when in use so the table or whatever surface you put it on rubs on that surface and the crud managed to adhere to that soft surface. I can understand it needed to be soft so as not to scratch the table screen, but some other material that doesn't allow the crud to become ingrained in the material.The cover performs fine, and looks well, while the tablet is closed. As soon as you open it up, the ugly side shows. That also means all the crud the soft fabric picks up is now rubbing on the glass when the cover is closed. All of my other tablet covers have been dark and some they might have had the crud problem too, just wasn't noticeable like the black crud on the gold surface. ... show more

I recently purchased this Smart Cover, Yippee Colour Series in champagne gold for the iPad Air 2 and have had some time to test it out. Simply put, this is a great case at an affordable price compared to the official Apple smart case! First of all, the fit is very precise and offers some protection in case of scratches or drops, but the reason I bought it is to put it into a sleeve and to carry around in a bag. In regards to a sleeve, it does fit into the Amazon Basics 10" sleeve snugly and offers additional overall protection. The cutouts for the various ports, speaker grilles, camera, and buttons are precise and everything is just as functional as without the case. The build quality is exceptional. The back cover is semi-transparent matte and finger-print free and offers a satisfying grip as compared to the bare iPad. The front cover is lined with felt on the inside to keep the screen scratch free and is of a nice quality. The cover is a Tri-fold design that can fold all of the way back to hold in portrait style to be held like a book and also be folded Ike a stand for viewing in landscape mode. Stand mode is stable and will keep the iPad at a comfortable viewing angle without any slumping. The sleep/wake function works perfectly and with Touch ID makes using the iPad very functional. The magnets are strong to keep the cover closed held in any manner, even upside down. The only slight nitpick I have with the case is the color of the front cover is more of a white gold to me than the color of the gold on the iPad itself. But this is fairly insignificant to me. Overall this is a great Smart Cover for the iPad Air 2 at a great price and definitely a consideration over a much pricier Apple smart case. ... show more

October 6,2015 - Updated post for the ESR Yippee Color Plus Smart Cover: I absolutely LOVE this color (Cerulean Blue). I like the rubber edges on the Plus Smart Cover. The cutouts on the back, which allow the magnets to hold the case flat to the back without flopping down was a nice touch. Very much appreciated. 😉 The Plus case also has a better feel. Nice and light. The clear Translucent back is nice because the forbidden fruit 🍎 is easily seen. This is an ultra slim case with limited protection; although, I think it will protect better than the older model. Does not add bulk. I really like ESR cases and the Color Plus Smart Cover especially. I guess you could already suspect that by how many cases I have. 😂 (This next comment is for the other six ESR cases I purchased. I don't too much care for the angles, but when I need something light and that gives some protection, not full protection, I use this baby. On a regular basis, I love and use my Logitech Type+, but this is my on the go and a need to go light case. And it looks good too. I recommend this...again, not so much for protection, especially if you're hard on things...I'm not, so it definitely works for me. I brought several colors...so, I defiitely like this case. 😉 (I'll be posting this same comment on each of the other colors that I purchased) ... show more

    • Good Light Weight Case and Positive Customer Service

Good product. The iPad Air 2 is amazingly thin and light that I wanted a case that minimizes it's size and weight. This case is one that does not compromise those features. Also, the stand is more stable as it has more depth than the Apple smart case that I have on my 3rd gen iPad. The case does not cover the microphones and the speakers from the iPad. The clear/gold back case compliments the gold color of the iPad as well. The only reason I give this a four stars is that after a few drops on a carpet floor, the corners started to develop cracks. They eventually cracked to the point that the corners started to fall off. I contacted ESR support and asked if there was a warranty. I had the case for a little over three months. There really wasn't one but they had asked to send pictures to see what kind of damage it sustained. After they reviewed the pictures, they offered me a full refund or to send me a new one. I chose to have them send me a new one as I like the form fit function of the case. Their support staff continued to provide me a status on the shipping and even arrived one day before the estimated shipping date. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the case and the customer service. ... show more
