I needed a simple lightweight case for a particular use, and this fits the bill. It took a little practice to learn how to efficiently open and close the case, but it's really not that difficult. Not sure I like the way it uses a fold in the case to support both hands-free and writing mode, but since i don't use it often for that I'll reserve judgment. I wish there was a way to use this case for vertical hands-free or writing, but it doesn't really work for that. I do like the way it holds the pencil -- good magnetic connection, and the flap over the pencil also attaches with a magnetic click when the case is closed. ... show more

I was coming from a much more expensive case that did well for me for about 4 years. But really it lasted 2. The last 2 years I was really pushing it. I did not wanted to even try another case, but given the price and the fact that this held the iPad by magnets really called my attention. And yes, I can’t speak for durability so far and I don’t really expect it to last many years tbh. But other than that yes I LOVE how easy it is to remove from the case when I want to but otherwise it just holds on perfectly. It is also way slimmer than my previous one. Sometimes I feel like I miss the additional pencil protection the other one gave me. But since lately I am rarely taking the iPad out of the house, it isn’t really a problem. I’f I was commuting with it everyday like before it would make me a little nervous I would loose the pencil one day. ... show more

Overall this was exactly the kind of case I was looking for: light and easily detachable from the ipad. The magnetics are strong enough that the ipad feels securely attached to the case. The case material itself is soft to the touch and easy to operate. It is also great that there is a magnetic flat that keeps my apple pencil from getting lost. It is everything you'd expect in a good case and more. However, I have find one [minor yet irritating] problem with it. As you can see in the picture, because the flap magnet is not so strong, the apple pencil tends to roll onto the front of the ipad from the side. Although I can easily adjust it back to its correct position, this happens quite frequently when I am handling the case. However, this is not a deal breaker for me, only something that you might be aware of before purchasing. I am still keeping this case. ... show more

This case is the best of all worlds and features all of my preferences. 1. No visible branding. The case is a solid color and there is no obnoxious logo. It looks clean and professional. 2. Feel. It feels premium to the touch. A pleasure to handle. Sturdy and soft. 3. Bare iPad edges. This case does not cover the edges of my iPad with cheap plastic, so I can enjoy touching and holding the cold aluminum the way Apple intended. This makes the experience of using the case much more premium. 4. Stand is sturdy and holds my iPad well. Much better than the ESR trifold case I had before. 5. Clasp for Apple pencil. Amazing feature. I can’t go without it. Brilliant solution. 6. The cover locks onto the back magnetically so even when my iPad is in use, it is one solid item. No cover sliding and slipping around behind the screen when I’m handling my iPad. 7. The case covers just a bit more area than the iPad, so it sticks out creating a bezel. Just enough so that when I place the iPad down vertically, the actual iPad doesn’t hit the surface, it just sits on the bezel. Amazing feature. Even though the iPad is exposed to the touch, it’s so safe. All in all, outstanding case. The iPad mini version is also outstanding. The only flaw is that the fabrid on the inside cover comes in contact with the surface I put the iPad on. Not the cleanest or most sanitary function. I actually think this is a very decent magnetic folio. The magnetic pull is strong and secures your ipad within the folio, and the flap holds the pencil in place. The sides are not covered, which I didn't mind because I do not have the habit of lugging my ipad around in my arms. So if you carry your ipad around a lot, pull it out in less safe spaces, this is not for you. But if you just need something to cover the front and back ipad to prevent from scuffing, and you don't shove it into a backpack but take good care to secure it, then I think this is a great product. It is sleek, light in weight, sturdy, and with the magnetic on and off, reduces mechanical wear of the unlock button. Folding the cover back also allows for a nice angle for writing on the ipad or propping it up to just view the screen. This would have been a great choice for me, but unfortunately I opted for the ESR case that wraps around the sides and back instead. This is because I realized I wasn't really a fan of the magnetic cover flap (the physical action of pulling the flap off and pulling the cover off the screen just was too time consuming for me as a student who wants to quickly pull out my tablet to take notes. I also would primarily use it for writing and not viewing, so propping it up was not as important for me at the moment. And in its open state, the pencil flap kind of lingering there was visually distracting for me. All in all, I really liked this folio and thought it achieved what was advertised, but after testing it, it just didn't align with my personal preferences. Really worth the price though, so it is just a matter of understanding your usage of your ipad to prevent accidents because this won't protect an ipad drop due to the exposed sides. ... show more

This product functions exactly like the folio cover from Apple, but at a fraction of the cost. My experience has been that the Apple version doesn’t hold up that well anyway, so why pay the high price. Edges and shape are perfect, magnetic attachment works great. The media could not be loaded. Does get kinda greasy as I put my fingers on it. Super slim design with strong magnets that stay in place. I can slide it in my bag no problem and case stays in place while also protecting and keeping the pencil in place.
