I am new to magsafe cases and am coming off many, many years of using Otterbox Defender cases (all the way back to the earliest iPhones), so drop protection is a big deal for me. In all the years I've put my phones in Defender cases and many ugly drops, I've NEVER had a screen crack (the screen protector may crack, but not the actual screen or phone). I purchased this case and one of ESR's clear Original cases so I could compare them. This case is far superior to ESR's Original model and a bit more like the Defender in design but thinner and with both magsafe and a handy stand! This case also advertises both military grade AND 23 foot drop protection. I've never had a phone drop that far, but I do drop my phones too often so I'd rather have better protection than the clear case would provide. This case offers more edge protection than the Original case and because the back is not clear, it has padding on the back similar to the Defender. The back is thinner than the Defender and this is a one-piece case versus three for the Defender, so we'll see how protective it is over time. It was a far easier installation than the Defender of course, but I will admit that I'm a bit afraid the phone might pop out in a bad fall. We'll see how it works. That said, I did have my screen protector crack last night when I had a car problem on a very dark roadway, but it fell forward onto a rock, so I doubt the Otterbox would have done any better! I do find this case more slippery than the Otterbox and worry about the one-piece construction, so we'll see how it works over time. I will update this review in the coming months. Love the kickstand, though I do wish they had more feminine colors like fuchsia or purple. The case grips solidly onto magsafe chargers and other accessories. Important!! If you do need to use a usb c cord for charging or wired Apple car play for an older car, you MUST get a usb extender with an extra long 10mm USB C portion. Most extenders I tried are too short to fit into this case. The longer ones are sold on Amazon but you need to specify the length in a search. Make sure the portion that holds the USB C part also has a slender profile! You cannot use MagSafe for data transmission so you need a cord that fits this case if you need a wired connection to your car’s display. ... show more

This is a nice sturdy case, got this for my wife and she loves all the functionality of it. The kick stand, the wireless charging, magnetic backing stick to the phone stand in the car, the protection of the phone, the color, etc. Overall it's a good case to have.

The ESR iPhone 16 Case with Stand is a darned good case. Installation is crazy easy. The soft rubber-like inner case provides a snug fit around the phone, access to, and function of, side buttons is spot-on, and there is a cushion type material on the bottom of the inner case to provide additional protection. The outer shell of the case is hard with cutouts on the sides for access to side buttons, and grip. The back, while hard, does have a slight texture, as does the side of the case. I prefer more grip to my phone cases. But for those who like to carry their phone in a pocket, this case is slippery enough to slide easily in/out of your pocket. Overall, this case functions well, and appears to be a very good value at this price point as its double layers fit nicely on the phone, provides a fair amount of grip, and does not interfere with side button access or function. ... show more

This is easily the best phone case I’ve ever had. It has really solid, magnetic grip. I like the combination of soft rubber on the edges and hard plastic on the back. In the past, I’ve had phone cases that let dirt in and scratch the back of the phone, but this is always perfectly clean if I happen to take it out of the case and my phone has no scratches or dirt getting by. I have always relied on the OtterBox Defender case for my phones because I tend to be quite tough on them and frequently drop them. Over the years, I’ve experimented with various off-brand cases, but they've consistently left me underwhelmed in terms of protection and build quality. Recently, I purchased a new iPhone 16, and I opted for the ESR Military Grade Case once again assuming I would be returning it soon, boy was I incorrect. Since I’ve had the case, I’ve accidentally dropped my phone three times, and I’m happy to report that it has provided exceptional protection every time. Each drop has left no damage to my device, which speaks volumes about the durability of this case. The construction is robust and instills a sense of reliability that I simply cannot find in lesser-quality cases and thus far, has at least matched the Otterbox Defender. I chose the gray color for this case, which I find aesthetically pleasing. However, one downside I’ve noticed is that the color can show dirt and grime on the edges and sides a bit more than I anticipated. While it’s a bit disappointing, I’m more than willing to overlook this minor issue in exchange for the superior durability and peace of mind that the ESR Military Grade Case provides. Ultimately, I feel confident that my iPhone is well-protected from the rigors of daily life thanks to this excellent case. I did order the optional glass screen cover, and camera lens covers.
