I am new to magsafe cases and am coming off many, many years of using Otterbox Defender cases (all the way back to the earliest iPhones), so drop protection is a big deal for me. In all the years I've put my phones in Defender cases and many ugly drops, I've NEVER had a screen crack (the screen protector may crack, but not the actual screen or phone). I purchased this case and one of ESR's clear Original cases so I could compare them. This case is far superior to ESR's Original model and a bit more like the Defender in design but thinner and with both magsafe and a handy stand! This case also advertises both military grade AND 23 foot drop protection. I've never had a phone drop that far, but I do drop my phones too often so I'd rather have better protection than the clear case would provide. This case offers more edge protection than the Original case and because the back is not clear, it has padding on the back similar to the Defender. The back is thinner than the Defender and this is a one-piece case versus three for the Defender, so we'll see how protective it is over time. It was a far easier installation than the Defender of course, but I will admit that I'm a bit afraid the phone might pop out in a bad fall. We'll see how it works. That said, I did have my screen protector crack last night when I had a car problem on a very dark roadway, but it fell forward onto a rock, so I doubt the Otterbox would have done any better! I do find this case more slippery than the Otterbox and worry about the one-piece construction, so we'll see how it works over time. I will update this review in the coming months. Love the kickstand, though I do wish they had more feminine colors like fuchsia or purple. The case grips solidly onto magsafe chargers and other accessories. Important!! If you do need to use a usb c cord for charging or wired Apple car play for an older car, you MUST get a usb extender with an extra long 10mm USB C portion. Most extenders I tried are too short to fit into this case. The longer ones are sold on Amazon but you need to specify the length in a search. Make sure the portion that holds the USB C part also has a slender profile! You cannot use MagSafe for data transmission so you need a cord that fits this case if you need a wired connection to your car’s display. ... show more

I bought this case in April of 2025. It is now January of 2026. I dropped my phone about a million times (girl pant pockets are a joke 😂) The case now has a few color abrasions and scratches on the metal parts, but what is most important: My phone inside that case is in perfect condition! I couldn’t believe that such a thin case would actually last so well, but it does and I highly recommend it to any clumsy person like me. The button covers work easily and smooth. And I can quickly pop my phone inside and out if I want to clean off some dust. It lays well in my hand, but I wish it would be a bit grippier on surfaces when I need to put it down on a slanted edge (because dresses also don’t have pockets). I went through a lot of drop-resistant cases in the past and ended up with a broken or scratched phone nonetheless.     • Love the protection and style - but can be hard to grip

PROS Love this case. Brings me back to when Otterbox / Lifeproof and others made a truly military-grade protection case. For the money this is ideal for me. Style is badass and I love the way the chrome stand looks against the color of the phone and case. The built-in stand is one of the best i've ever seen... or any stand for that matter. It's a little awkward given the location but it can almost act as a grip for some with longer fingers. Not to mention it doubles as a beefy protector for the camera lens! CONS It is on the heavier side, but I am A-OK with that after having my back glass shattered twice with other rubber-style cases on that did not do the job they claimed they could. This is a heavy-duty, yet sleek case. Slim for what it is. That said, for those who already had trouble with grip, it can make it slightly more difficult to control. The finish can feel a little slippery. I wish the sides and back had a little bit of rubber grip to hold on to. This would immediately bump my 4 stars to 5! Or, if you're someone who likes to add a popsocket or holder on the back, the combination wont' allow you to place in a standard cradle holder (i tried to add one and it would not fit in my car nor bike cradles). This phone case is highly recommended! I set my phone near the bumper on the back of my hatchback, forgot that it was there, and closed my hatchback. The hatchback closed completely on my phone with this phone case on it and I thought for sure my phone was going to be broken. This case prevented my phone from getting any damage at all! The only damage was the glass cover on my screen had a small crack in it and I’m still using this same case today because it had no damage either! THAT says everything!! This ESR for iPhone 16 Pro Case with Stand is wonderful. The MagSafe magnets are super strong. I can use my MagSafe wallet without fear of it detaching until I want it to. I did a magnetic strength test with the MagSafe charger. You can shake the cord all day long and it won't detach. This is the Main reason I chose this brand. I had an ESR MagSafe case for my old iPhone 14 Pro, and loved it. This case has a raised lip around the screen to protect it while face down. The Stand part of the case doubles as extra protection of the camera lenses. This is kind of a "Hybrid" type case that comes in 2 pieces. The rubber part hugs your phone and is very "grippy". The hard plastic part gives the case more stability and protective strength. All buttons work seamlessly, and the charging port has a rubber flap to protect it from dust and moisture. That doesn't mean the case is waterproof. Just a little more protected from everyday things. This case is a little thicker than some other brands, but you don't really notice it. It still fits nicely in the back pocket of my jeans. I highly recommend this ESR for iPhone 16 Pro Case with Stand. We love this case. My spouse and I have a pink and a blue one and they look really nice. They are easy to carry the phones and the phones get dropped far less than when we had other cases. We use the glass screen savers with these and they last have gone for over a year without a single crack to the screen savers so these cases do protect the screen from impact. We would definitely buy these again and encourage anyone who really wants a protective case for their phone to get this case.
