Purple color is great with my purple iPad. The magnetic backing is firm and keeps in place. I wish flipping the top over didn’t cover the camera but I rarely use my iPad for photos. Seems built well and easy to clean. Good value

What a wonderful case! I have used iPads ever since the first generation came out. I have used leather-like covers, magnetic covers and everything in between. I have even used other ESR covers that were just OK. That's until today when I received my case! The case I received is amazing! The pictures do not do the actual product any justice and I would highly recommend getting one. Your iPad does not "clip" into a plastic holder but sits magnetized to the backing and stays in place. Works great with or without an Apple Pencil. I plan to get an Apple Pencil soon for sure! Regardless I know this will be a little durable case I can use for the years to come. Thanks again!

Minimal and functional case, fits perfectly, easy in and out if you want to move the iPad onto a keyboard folio. Good design to protect Apple Pencil while case is closed and keep it accessible when case is open. I really like that the flap covering the Pencil can just be folded back and stays there with a magnet. The structure easily holds the iPad in landscape mode. Cons… does not offer much in the way of drop protection, and it’s not super durable. I contacted ESR directly when I saw that the corners were wearing out after only about 5 weeks of use, just past the Amazon return window. The company stands by its product! They got right back to me and offered to send me a replacement. Within 2 days I had a new-condition case, not brand new but probably a returned item that was flawless. I think this is a genius solution and a win-win, since a lot of returned items end up in landfill. By reusing excellent quality returns, the company is solving two problems.

This is a review of ASIN B07HQCDYTK described as "ESR Magnetic Case for iPad Air 4 2020 10.9 Inch / iPad Pro 11 2018 [Convenient Magnetic Attachment] [Trifold Smart Case] [Auto Sleep/Wake Cover] Rebound Series, Black" Noting this in case the listing changes or they re-use it for a different case later. Ok, I figured this was going to be a re-purposed 11" 2018 Pro case, which is probably true but it fits the Air 4 perfectly! It uses the magnetic attachment points so there's no plastic shell gripping and obscuring the edges of the device. It's just one big wraparound rigid flap that sticks to the back with a few ounces of magnetic force. The front magnetically connects and wakes/sleeps the device when you open/close it. The front flap has the usual three-section construction with two flexible points so it can wrap around on itself to make a triangular table stand that works well if you want to set it up to watch a movie etc. The closure flap has two magnetic positions, one tight and one with space for the Apple Pencil underneath it. It will also adhere to the back of the top flap when it is wrapped around the back when it's in use and so nothing dangles, it all smartly sticks together in both open and closed configurations. The closure flap fits very close to the surface so the easiest way of opening it is to slide it off towards the edge to get a grip on it, or you can use the "pencil" flap position where the extra protrusion of the flap loop gives you a spot to get ahold of it easily. The case extends maybe 1/16" out past the edge of the device all the way around so it provides some protection from bumps and scratches when closed. The surface is very smooth, especially with dry hands. I would have preferred some actual texture to the surface, but this should be fine. Even closed, this is going to provide little if any protection against edge impacts if you drop it on a hard surface like concrete and I would not expect the screen to necessarily survive that. But as a screen protector against scratches and to overall keep your iPad looking great as well as offering reasonable protection against day to day wear and tear it works great. It does add substantial weight to the device but this also makes it feel a bit more rugged and substantial and less like something fragile that you have to be super careful with. Overall I am extremely impressed and happy with this case, and it seems to be one of, if not the, best low-cost case options for the Air 4 at release, and it's inexpensive enough to get as a starter case while we wait to see if someone produces some super-sexy alternative later on. Recommended!

It's really the perfect case if you don't want anything bulky and want to avoid overspending on the Apple option (and you also get the flap for extra protection). I read a comment before buying it saying that the flap doesn't stick to the back when you have it standing, but mine is magnetized and works perfectly. Something to consider is that it doesn't necessarily add protection to the sides of the iPad, so if that's something important to you, I'd go for another option (this brand has a few). The material feels high-quality and I don't see it peeling off or breaking anytime soon, the only thing is that it might get fingerprints from the oils and sweat on your hands, but they can easily be wiped off. I'd definitely buy again or look for other options for this brand.
