When I visit my brother, I love using his $1200 espresso machine. But I don't want to spend that much for one for myself. So when I saw this espresso machine offered for $89.99 (as of July 2024), I decided to try it. I am so glad I did! It doesn't perform quite as well as my brother's high-end machine, but it's pretty darn close. It has a lot of great features. Not only can it brew a single or a double shot of espresso, but there is also a button for "long coffee" to brew a larger cup of coffee. This espresso machine also contains a milk frother which doubles as a hot water dispenser. On the top, there is a cup warmer as well! They all work great! Here are my tips and minor cons about this espresso machine: - it takes a little while to warm up after turning the power on - it take a lot longer for the cup warmer to heat up (about 10-15 minutes) - the directions are good overall but are slightly confusing in a few places - you have to turn the machine off and back on again when switching between coffee making and using the hot water button or steam (milk frothing) button. - make sure after you turn on the machine you wait for the flashing buttons to turn solid before making your selection - when using the hot water button or steam button, you hit the button and then wait for it to stop flashing before you turn the handle to the on position for the steam/hot water arm - when using the hot water function, water shoots out of the arm in squirts, so it does spray a few drops outside the cup - you will need to purchase a separate espresso bean grinder (my bother's machine has one built in) - you will need to purchase a separate container for frothing milk (usually a small stainless steel pitcher) - make sure you read all the instruction; one important instruction is that you MUST have plenty of water in the reservoir because if it runs out and the machine tries to run, the pump is likely to break I did not take off any stars for the very minor cons mentioned above because it is such a great value and performs really well overall. I am super happy with this machine, especially for the price which is less than my Nespresso machine cost me and more that $1100 less than my brother's espresso machine! I absolutely recommend it and it would make a really fantastic gift for the coffee lover in your life.

The media could not be loaded. So far so good with this machine! I have a Nespresso Vertuo machine and am tired of the large monthly expense for coffee pods. I wanted to try an easy to use espresso machine that wouldn’t break the bank, and I would recommend this one to others. This machine is sleek and looks nice in my kitchen. It isn’t very heavy, which may speak to the quality of internal parts, but I care more about how well it works. Set up out of the box was very easy and the direction booklet adequately explains the settings and steps. The water tank holds a lot of water, which is convenient not to have to fill it daily. I was worried about the heat up time, as speed is the best part of Nespresso to me, but this machine heats up and is ready in about 30 seconds- faster than my old Keurig. My favorite part about the machine is the easy to use touch screen. It has 3 simple settings that are automated- single shot, double shot, or long coffee (which the booklet says adds 140mL more water to a double shot, so like an Americano). I like a dark, strong coffee so am using Illy dark roast espresso and use the double shot insert. It takes about 1.5 scoops tampered down and makes a great dark roast with a perfect creama at the top, just like Nespresso! I haven’t tried the frother yet as I do love the ease of my Nespresso milk frother which doesn’t need another container for the milk. The machine is easy to clean after a cup and it stays heated and ready to make another until turned off. Only one minor complaint so far, and that’s that the coffee is almost too hot. Usually espresso isn’t so hot so you can drink it immediately- this gets very hot. Also my 10 oz Yeti won’t fit in the tray but a coffee mug or of course espresso cups have no problem. There’s no adjustments for any larger size cups to fit, in case that matters for anyone!
