The 30A power delivery is impressive and the DIN rail mounting makes installation in my electrical box quick and secure. Great WLED controller at fair price
Overall this is a really nice WLED controller at a very fair price. Things I like: -The clear plastic cover makes it easy to keep an eye on the internals and to see if a fuse might be blown. It has ventilation slots to allow good airflow. The cover is very well labeled in clear white text that shows all the information you should need to make your connections and even has instructions for how the two buttons work, as well as a QR code for full instructions (but more on that later). The circuit board itself is also labeled in case you're making connections without the cover on. - The screw type phoenix connectors are tried and true. Lever locks might be a nice touch but I personally don't mind these and actually like them because the screw heads give you an easy place to test voltage after connections are made. - Love that it has ethernet for rock-solid low latency connection and also WiFi in case you don't have a wire nearby. Makes it very versatile. - The included paper user manual is very good and has all the information you need to make the connections and get up and running. - They provide URL for official firmware Github repo. I am glad that it's a legitimate source rather than having to download from a China-hosted shortened/obfuscated URL. However see cons section for related issue. - The circuit board appears to be very well made. I inspected the bottom and all solder joints look good. - I was able to connect via WiFi for initial test with no problems. App is very responsive unlike other reviewer that had problems. Things I don't like: - Comes with a red plastic thing that isn't mentioned anywhere in the product listing or user manual and it is not obvious what it's for. After a bit of head scratching I figured out that it snaps into the white plastic back plate and would be used to lock/unlock the chassis when mounting to a 32MM DIN rail. - The user manual QR code goes to a China-hosted short-link service, which raises security/privacy concerns for me. Please mirror the user manual on the project’s GitHub (alongside the firmware) or another reputable hosting platform. The Github firmware repo only has v0.15.1 (which is what the unit came with), but the WLED app shows an update available to v0.15.3. It's not clear whether this WLED-app OTA update is actually compatible or might brick the unit. The user manual does state to only use firmware from the Github repo, but I really think they need to be working with WLED devs to ensure the app is only presenting compatible firmware updates. In the meantime until that is in place they need to do a better job of warning users to not update firmware via the WLED app auto-detect version. If I wasn't already familiar with this issue from another similar product I've used, I would have updated and had to deal with the consequences of that. ... show more

Won’t Connect/ No WiFi
Won’t communicate! Tried WiFi, Ethernet, Bluetooth, and direct UART. Multiple reset and restarts didn’t help. Tried to download latest firmware but Chrome can’t find a valid serial port. I’d really like to get this to work, as it’s very well built and fits my project. Any suggestions appreciated!

Turn your house into a light show
I bought this for one very important reason: I wanted my house to look like a small concert venue during the holidays. If you’re already in the world of addressable LEDs and WLED, you know exactly what that means. There’s no dramatic story here, and honestly that’s a good thing. This controller works the way it’s supposed to work. It powers up, connects, pushes data cleanly, and stays stable. No random dropouts. No weird resets. When you’re running a lot of pixels and asking a controller to handle real load, that consistency matters more than flashy marketing language. The build feels solid and purposeful. The terminals clamp down securely, the layout is clean, and the DIN rail mount makes installation in an enclosure straightforward. Ethernet plus Wi-Fi is also a big deal if you’re doing anything more than a small decorative strip. Wired connection keeps things steady, and Wi-Fi acts as a backup. That kind of redundancy is what you want when your entire light show depends on one box. I’m not going to walk through wiring diagrams here. If you’re shopping for a 4-channel, 30A WLED controller with Ethernet and replaceable fuses, you already know your way around power supplies and pixel counts. And if you don’t, this probably isn’t your entry-level starting point. What I can say is this: there were no surprises. It handled the load I expected it to handle. The effects ran smoothly. Music sync worked. It did not overheat, glitch out, or behave unpredictably. And in the world of electronics, boring is good. Boring means it works every single time you flip the switch. Feature packed controller; make sure you need these features
This WLED light controller is essentially pretty feature packed controller for DIY lighting displays. The build itself is pretty sturdy and a see-through case that lets you check the internal parts and safety fuses at a glance. One unique feature that I haven’t since in other WLED controllers that I’ve used is an ethernet port which is a nice option if you’ve run PoE ethernet to your eaves or something for cameras. It does, of course, have wifi. It can handle a massive amount of power across four separate light strips and includes a microphone that makes your lights sync with music if synchronized outdoor lighting displays are your jam. I don’t know if I would recommend this if this is your first WLED controller. It takes some work and technical know-how to get everything running correctly and the printed manual is very short. Trying to find more help online can be frustrating since the links often lead to confusing or poorly formatted websites. UNLESS you have specific need for some of the features I’ll describe in the next paragraph. From a value perspective, this is a bit pricier than other WLED controllers I have. If you don’t need some of the features this has (ethernet port, replaceable fuses, variable voltage, 4 channels, music sync, a DIN rail mount, etc., you can definitely get away with something cheaper.
