Rear tire changes on the Hover-1 Alpha are a big pain, so I got this to make it easier. Mounting a solid tire to the wheel proved impossible for me, which was a waste of $30, but this tire was so great it took the sting out of that mistake. Frankly, this should have been the tire equipped from the factory. Since it didn't require a tube, this was the cheapest replacement option I could find, but it was actually a huge upgrade. Tubeless is easier to change, easier to patch, and less prone to flats than tube-type. All I needed was a tubeless air valve (described as 2cm length and suitable for ≤9mm diameter, but I think a slightly larger one would have fit even better - normal car size would be too big). I used no sealant and made no modifications to anything. Tire is still nice and firm months later. The tire itself is fine as far as I can tell. I'd say to ride the original tire until it gets a flat, and have one of these on-hand instead of a new tube. ... show more

If you have a mini like in the photo Segway mini… these tires will fit. I bought a pair, put them on myself and went to a tire place so they could catch there bead on the rim piped up to 40-60psi to do it…then let air out back to 30-35 psi

TL;DR: Excellent tires for the money. Coming from an experienced Segway Mini Pro rider since 2017. I ride daily to and from work and also for pleasure on off days around the neighborhood. I wore my original tires down to the threads. When I saw the price for replacements on More4Motion, I quickly headed to Amazon for an alternative and found these. Installation is about as tough as your average tire, and it is easy to scratch up your Segway if you aren't careful. I personally don't care, like I said, I'm a daily rider, so my Segway is already pretty scratched up. Don't believe everybody else who says it's impossible or there's a manufacturer issue--it is purely a SKILL issue on the user/buyer. A nice set of tire spoons helps loads, as does a second set of hands from a friend. Overall I highly recommend these for any Segway rider who needs an excellent replacement on the cheap! ... show more

    • Not compatible with Seqway self-balancing vehicles.
Not compatible with Segway Minipro. 2 stars instead of 1 simply because I've read other reviews and these tires 'might' work on other types of electric scooters. I suppose, all one has to do is look at the photos of the tires, look at the photos of Segways on the ad, and look at your own vehicle to see these are not meant for ANY Segway self-balancing vehicle. The Segways have rounded tires. These not only have flat tread instead of rounded, but they are also wider. The bead will never sit properly in the rim. Fortunately, the shop I took them to had the integrity to let me know before charging me labor so I could return these. CONCLUSION If you're purchasing tires for a Segway Mini, you'll need to go through Ninebot directly (or, at least, look for rounded tread tires). This is not your tire. ... show more
