  • I really like this helmet.
I've been using a harbor freight helmet for several years. I decided to bite the bullet and spend some coin. Wasn't sure if the price was worth it but it made a world of difference for my old eyes. Quality seems good and I really like the fit. Best thing is the view. It's really clear with a large viewing area. Why didn't I do this before now. ... show more

  • The ESAB Sentinel welding helmet is excellent
I have used this every day for a minimum of three hours a day for the last three weeks. It works really well. The view is large and clear and at the end of my shift my eyes don’t bother me at all. The helmet is light and balanced very well although pricey, if you’re a professional in the field, it is worth it. I am taking off one star as you cannot put the helmet down on its face. You will scratch the lens and the protector lenses are expensive other than that A+++ ... show more

  • Good helmet
This is a very good helmet! Very clear! The only reason it’s not five stars is because it has ESAB on it the price is pretty high. This seller had a decent price and the price point issue is strictly because of the name, Miller, ESAB, products are always overpriced.

  • So Much Than I Expected
Just over a year ago I was torn between this A60 and Optrels' Vega View 2. I chose wrong. I chose the Optrel. The moment I got it I looked through its lens and saw no better resolution than the $80 generic I had been using. The other big problem with the Vega View is the impossibility to wear a mask behind it. There isnt space for any type of mask. Optrel should have allowed for PPE but didnt! They never responded to those emails asking what mask did fit. Fast forward a year and I pull the Vega out to weld and its dead. Low voltage killed the crystals' ability to respond. Clearly a problem for Optrel. Within 30 seconds of looking through the lens of the A60 I saw clearer than EVER before. You can gleen insight even when not blocking light. It takes some experience but 10 or 15 helmets later and I have only upped the quality to protect my eyes. The A60 is definately worth the money. I dont think I ever actually saw the weld puddle before. I'm sure that reads nutty but its the best way to describe it. I thought I saw all there was to see but I wasnt. I didnt know until I knew! Its not about more light into my eyes its the difference of 2K versus 4K... its all in the details and the brain rewards you for it. I really hope this helps you make a decision. Remember, its about saving your eyesight, not just detail, better welding and the rest of the short term gains. ... show more
