Very functional and for the price, nice looking. Obviously, it’s not a style you would pick from a visual standpoint but it fits right into our decor and I LOVE IT!! I am thankful for the reviews that speak to the extreme assembly challenges. My husband who is more than handy (taught woodworking), took 3+ hours to put this together. He had the same issues mentioned by others, missing holes, etc. He used his drill press to drill holes where needed. He assembled this by himself but this is not for the faint of heart. He said assembly instructions were inaccurate and just about worthless. Anyway, at the end of the day, I’m grateful that my husband has elevated skills…I’m pretty saavy with assembly, (IKEA level) and instinctively knew this was a no way for me. It would be great if the mfg stepped up their game - I’m sure people are hesitant to purchase because of these challenges. ... show more

    • Make sure you have a drill because you're going to need it.

It took me roughly an hour and half to assemble the stand. The instructions are easy to follow up to a point. About halfway through the assembly, I stopped following and had to assemble my way because the following the instructions wasn't practical at the point. I should point out that I didn't finish assembling the stand. For example, while I assembled the drawers, I didn't install the drawers. Why? Because the screws for the roller were a bit too small to hold the rollers in place and the holes for the screws were not drilled in properly. The holes are superficial. This is also the same story for the wheels. The holes there barely go into the wood. Oh, and ditto for the electrical outlet; I didn't install that either. Despite these short comings, I'm still going to continue using it. I bought it so I could use it as an extension of my desk, so I don't need the wheels or drawers. I wanted this table to be able to use my laptop next to my recliner chair. It is working perfectly for that purpose. Most of the poor reviews seemed to be around assembly, so I used Amazon Home Services to do the assembly (I would have had to hire someone anyway), and the tech did an expert job. He said all the holes lined up, contrary to what many said in their reviews. For the price this is an excellent little table. I love that it has a charging station built in, and the two drawers are a bonus. I highly recommend this little table. ... show more

The drawer slide screws do not screw in flush I am going to the hardware store to find replacement hardware so my drawers will close as they should. I have seen reviews where the tabletop is not level. I realized the best adjustment is to center it over the entire unit because the bar is designed at an angle. I originally lined it up against the edge. If you overhang each edge you will see it is much more level. This allows me a much better reach to my alarm clocks, CPAP button, drink, chapstick, and touch lamp without worrying about reaching across everything and knocking stuff over. So I was eyeing this item for quite some time and decided to purchase it to replace my old side table from IKEA that I’ve had since I was 7th grade! Mind you that I’m 45 now. The only negative thing is that it’s not as big as I hoped it to be because I wanted to replace the old table. But worked out because I replaced the old table with another smaller side table I was using. So when the item arrived, it came in a boxed package with all the items. Fortunately there were no missing parts as I laid them out and made sure that all of the pieces were there before I started to assemble them. From start to finish, it took me about 3 to 3 1/3 hours to assemble it. I am a woman so I did it all on my own with just the L tool it came with and a Phillips screwdriver (not even electric). So with just my two little hands and the two tools, I was able to do this all by myself without a man’s help. If I can do it, you can do with a little patience. The instructions are not detailed but if you take your time to observe the pieces and illustrations on the double sided instruction sheet, you can do it. There aren’t any words explaining the process, just literally the illustrations are guiding you. I screwed one thing by mistake out of all of the pieces, because of the alignment of the holes, was I only able to figure out that I had to attach the metal part to the table top. The instructions weren’t clear for that explanation. Overall, it turned out very nice. Just be careful of how you handle the pieces because it can get easily scratched on the painted surface.     • Be ready to drill your own holes

Arrived in a box that was relatively undamaged. Pulled everything apart, all the pieces were there however once I started assembling I realized that some of the holes had been Miss drilled and the hardware wasn't lining up. I got out my drill, realigned the holes, drilled pilots and use the hardware provided. Everything ultimately went together but a 45 minute project eventually turned into a 90 minute project.
