I've got an XPS17 from Dell. This is advertised as being for 17" laptops but it is definitely too small. I decided to keep it as it is the only mount that I found with an angled mount for my dual arm monitor boom. If you have a smaller laptop, I still recommend other mounts as they're much nicer.

Needed a off the desk location for my laptop while still being able to use it as 1 out of 3 screens. Huge 17.3" laptop. This fit right onto my versa tri-arm monitor stand on my sit stand desk. Feels very secure. Adjusted the arms pivot point in order to get the laptop in a more comfortable viewing angle, without allowing it to get top heavy and fall forward out of the tray. I have not installed any attachment band or velcro. Have not seen a need for it yet.

It's not the most refined looking laptop tray, but it's functional. I didn't like how the high-adjustable clamps looked so I left them off, which is fine if you're using an external keyboard anyway. The VESA mount on the bottom looks clunky and takes up space on the bottom -- I would rather they figured out a way to have it up top where it's hidden behind the laptop screen instead. The tray is solid otherwise and stays firmly attached to the monitor arm, but I had to provide my own screws/mount.

This is exactly what I needed for my work space. I have all of my monitors on arms already, so having a little arm to put my laptop on is fantastic. Just keep in mind that you'll want to be mindful of tightening the joints if you use monitor arms, you wouldn't want the arm to just dump forward and drop your laptop. The only other thing I could really ask for is if there was an easy way to affix my docking station to the underside of the tray.
