  • Awesome
Color: Polished Aluminum
The tools that come with it are great. I bought three to manage my triple monitor rig and this was the only offering that gave decent forward motion so the side monitors could be angled. The tensioner works great to adjust to my heavy center monitor (43") and lighter side monitors (30"). Well worth the money. ... show more

  • You can never go wrong with Ergotron
Color: White
As expected of the brand, Ergotron always makes the most sturdy and flexible mounts in the industry and this one is a good mount. I've been using them for over 10 years and gone through dozens of monitor mounts, but this one is easily one of my favorites. I bought 2 and they're each holding a 40" monitor with full swivel motion and 180º rotation. I'm able to switch from landscape to portrait mode in a matter of seconds. Additionally, it clears up all my desk space by having a large vertical range of motion. Even though is expensive af, but totally worth the money! PS: make sure you have a solid wall or an available 2x4 to attach this to. You'll expect to have a large amount of weight mounted in one single spot. ... show more

  • Almost gave it 4 stars
Color: White
Expensive, but this is a really high quality and very sturdy mount with great motion. Its probably grossly over-engineered for almost any monitor, even the 49" ultrawide behemoths. This is what you want if you have a really big monitor, want to mount a decent sized TV or you just want the best money can buy. That said, there is one monitor its can't quite deal with and that's the Samsung G9 Odyssey due to its ridiculous 1000R curve putting too much strain on the tilt mechanism. You need to buy a heavy duty tilt adapter that was made specifically to work with the G9, which you can find at this link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08P53X9PF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I think its ridiculous they charge an additional $65 just for it to work with a very popular monitor since its a mount that already costs $275, that's why I almost knocked off a star. The heavy duty tilt mechanism should be offered as an option. Still, I did research and don't know of any other mount which works with such a behemoth like the G9 so it still earns the full 5 stars. PRO TIP: for other prospective ultrawide owners: These things are huge and will take up most of your desk space, especially the G9 that's probably why you are looking at wall mounting it in the first place. It does work great to free up space underneath the monitor, but mounting it was more of a challenge than I thought. With a mount like the Ergotron If you want your monitor as close to the wall as possible (almost everyone would Id think) the mount position will be pretty far offset compared to the centerline of your monitor and it MUST be mounted to a stud. I strongly suggest you make sure you have a wall stud compatible with where you want the centerline of your monitor to be before you drop a lot of money on this. I am including a picture to help you visualize the offset. My problem was my desk being in the corner and I had a window in the way, so I had to offset the mount twice as wide as I previously thought I would because I didn't want to drill through my window trim. Still love it and it looks good but now I can't move my monitor to the other side of my desk. Oh well ... show more

  • I trust these with the most expensve monitors
Color: White
not to disparage the product but the "erg" in "ergotron" does not imply "ergonomic" no, it is named for the sounds you will make as you struggle and strain to install it. you might even cry and whimper but if you have a $2000+ monitor you need to hang you can bet your life this company's products will save your investment. I only trust ergotron with my expensive monitors. rock solid and full metal. they are worth the struggle of a proper install. attached to a steady load bearing beam they can survive just about anything. ... show more

  • It's a big boi
Color: White
You're spending a lot of money for a wall mount, I get that. But is it worth the money? I think that depends on how much do you really want to wall mount something heavier than the average consumer. For me, Yes. It's worth the money. Installation: Once you figure out how to mount the back plate, it's pretty cut and dry. The only other step is getting the monitor onto the arm. So you can install this arm on different walls: - Drywall (no studs) [Hollow Walls] - Concrete - Wood Studs - Metal Studs. They include the hardware for wood studs and concrete but the metal studs and empty walls they do not. The official (customer support) way of mounting into either Metal or Drywall is to Purchase these following Ergotron items: - Wall Track (Comes in difference sizes) [Mfg Part # 31-018-216] - Wall Mount Bracket Kit [Mfg Part #: 97-091] - Anchors [Mfg Part #: 90-011] I decided against the wall track and mount which would add a lot of extra cost for an already expensive product. So I seen that the final anchors they used were the Toggler type anchors so I went with two toggler anchors to mount my LG 49WL95C-W into no-stud drywall Here's some of the maths: Monitor: 28 lbs without the stand. Arm: 13 lbs (Shipping weight). Probably more like 11 lbs for all the hardware. 1/4-20 (BB) Togglers are rated, at the bare minimum 265 lb for 1/2 Drywall. (5/8's it's 356 lbs). Technically the anchors would still be in the drywall but it would bring a large chunk of wall out. So if you want peace of mind, spend more money on the track and wall kit. ... show more
