I put on my mask, my gloves, and my goggles and I was all prepared for the smell and there was none! no fumes, no none of that!...easy to use...I coated my items before I went to bed...this time tomorrow it will be ready. Stir slow to avoid bubbles...but no worries...the bubbles go away without a touch or heat gun. Its Crystal clear....and will dry that way! Also...I dipped my favorite ring in it cuz this provides permanent protection. Use less than you think you need or you will be searching for stuff to apply it to so as not to waste it...you can add more if not enough. Very easy. If you get it on your skin... example: you glove split...wipe it off, wash area well then apply lotion. If you are allergic or sensitive to epoxy...wear double gloves. This is the best epoxy I have ever used...and there's no smell! If thick pieces seem "bendy" at the 24 hour mark...allow another day or two. My ornaments where flexible enough yesterday to force a threaded tapestry needle through it...and today...I would need a drill to make the same hole. It continued to harden. ... show more

The final result is crystal clear. It's easy to mix, 1 to 1 in a set of 3 measuring cups. It comes with an eye dropper for application, which is too flimsy to be useful (it's meant to be disposable). You need your own way to apply it. I used this to coat tiles for board games. Unfortunately, it stained the print and made white areas (especially) gray. The resin itself is clear. ... show more

This was the resin I first ever used. I use it still and prefer it. It is a forgiving resin. It is crystal clear and has a wonderful shine. It sets in 12-15 hrs and fully cures in 24-36 depending on heat and humidity. Take note: this resin is not super hard once cured. If heat is applied, the resin may warp and malform. I followed the directions and my first project came out good but bubbly. Since then, I use a heat gun to banish bubbles. Tips for success: 1. Warm that resin! I place my resin (still in the containers and sealed) in a hot water bath. I let them warm for 15 or so mins. 2. Pour the hardener first. The resin portion of the two part mixture is a bit heavier. Adding the resin second makes it easier to mix 3. Mix SLOWLY and DELIBERATELY. Resin is not an egg to be scrambled. The faster you mix, the more air bubbles you get. 4. Mix for 3-5 mins. I use songs to keep time, it's far more entertaining to listen to music than to stare at a clock 5. Pour into second container and stir again...Pretty explanatory. 6. Use a heat gun to pop them bubbles. 7. Pour slowly and in layers. Pour, heat gun, pour, heat gun. 8. If adding inks, make sure they are not oil based. It won't mix as well. 9. Pay attention to your working times. If you go over, the resin will begin to set and it gets wonky and sticky and weird. 10. I prefer to use this for CASTING not coating. It doesn't level as well as coating resin and it's a bit thinner than coating resin. ... show more

I tried this resin, Dr Craft, and Mod podge resin, and while each were good, I liked this best. It didn't have many bubbles and was easy to use. It was also fun getting extra items like the foils. Of the three, it had the longest working time. Most start setting at 40 minutes, but it was still workable at an hour (can be both a good and bad thing). ... show more
