I bought this to replace my old 100' extension cord, which after 20 years was a lost cause. The pros: seems to be well made and is certainly better than my old extension cord. Also, this won't kink up as much as the cheaper cords. The cons: this is quite heavy and seems like overkill for home use. Better for professional use. Additionally, it costs more which is to be expected. If I could do it again, I just would have bought one of the cheaper 100 ft extension cords, as I got 20 years out of the last one and it was much easier to haul around due to its lower weight. Never noticed the weight of an extension cord before I got this one. Your arms will actually tire a bit, as you wind up the cord. We bought this extension cord for my Son's AC unit. Unfortunately, our apartment has very strange wiring and only three fuses (other apartments have 4 to 5 fuses). Most of the outlets run off of just two fuses. The third fuse is only available from a few select outlets scattered around the rooms. We run the AC units (2 of them) from one of these outlets to stop the other two fuses from popping on a regular basis during the summer months. This extension cord performs as one expects. I am giving 4 stars due the false advertisement on the picture. This is indeed a good 25 ft extension cord but the picture shows a 100+ ft image. I have a stray or two that I have been feeding for a month now.the weather has been quite cold. Used the extension in house and the outlet and plug caught fire. Damage was contained quickly as I have fire extinguishers available and I de-energized the outlet. Very concerning as the use was house only - not overtly charged. I had ordered two in August 2020 and threw the other out.
