This is an extremely sharp bit that performs well on detailed cuts. The bit was well packaged and the cutting blade was covered which is a thoughtful addition considering the sharpness of the bit. The inclusion of documentation with the recommended feeds and speeds is also a great addition. The documentation made it much easier to add the bit to my tool database in VCarve.

I'm super happy with this item. I bought this bit to use in my homemade CNC machine and it works great. I have used it for engraving in several different materials from Soft Pine to Walnut and even Ironwood and it is still sharp. The quality seems very good and is on par with some of the more expensive name brand bits I've bought in the past. I loved that it comes with a feeds and speeds sheet and using their settings has yielded great results. I'd definitely recommend this to CNC users. You can buy three of them for the price of the name brand bits and they work just as as well.

I have an at home cnc and used this for the that spindle and it worked out well. Sharpe initial cut and seems to stay sharp. I dont expect it to last forever given the price, but good cut for what it does.

Fine Grind, picture tells the story. These are classic D-Bits for engraving. I have an old manual engraver and plan to use this on that although I can make my own fairly easily. 5 Stars. No surprises. I’d recommend the 5 pack for economy and besides that 0.005” point is bound to get abused first time out so you want a spare! How I review: Reviews start with 5 stars and I subtract points. - 0 for value but I try to provide guidance -0.5 to -3 for product not matching description e.g. stainless steel is actually plated steel -0.5 to -3 for product missing badly on execution I select products carefully so low (1-3 scores) are rare but detailed comments and critiques almost always are in the review. Most of my reviews come out 4-5 range. If possible I dismantle or destroy items to examine inner workings.

I ordered this bout to add to the growing collection for the CNC. It’s not a name brand I know so I had to search for the feed and speed rate for the type of bit and add it manually. So far it seems like it’ll work well for signs and detail work. Still learning tool paths and settings so it’s nice to have a variety to experiment with.

Cuts clean, no complaints. No breakage or dulling just yet, but I've been using this on birch plywood so your mileage may vary re: other harder materials.
