Very nice 40 Amp Level 2 Charger, especially considering the reasonable price. It charges my 2025 Chevy Equinox EV at near 40 miles in an hour. The digital readout is informative and the app is very helpful also. I setup the comms via Bluetooth which allows me to have comms anywhere in the house. I did not try to setup the WiFi as I'm always home when charging. If you install your own 14-50, 50 amp circuit, you need a GFCI 50 amp breaker, (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter). I used a 4 AWG Pig Tail normally used on a dryer or electric stove as the wiring. Make sure you have it all inspected by the town electrical inspector to avoid insurance issues. I also have 40 Solar Panels on the roof and only charge during peak output hours. My car runs on sunshine baby..... :)

Setting up the app was not straight forward. The app does not allow for setting up a repeating daily charging time window. It requires setting the time each day rather than a one-time setup.

It was working fine but after just 7 months it started having problems,it won't charge my mach e.it has problem with communication I think as it can't do the handshake when you plug in.bad quality lasted so little.should buy name brand like levinton that is in the industry of electrical products.

Chances are, the reason you're here looking at chargers like this, is you were at the car dealer getting your new EV and the dealer hit you with the "dealer-installed charger option", and it made the "Scotch Guard" and "Undercoating" seem like a good deal by comparison. $4,000 is where most dealer-installed chargers BEGIN, so they're a bit on the expensive side. Coming in at less than 1/10th the cost of a dealer-installed charger, is the EP EV charger. I hope I don't have to convince you of the money savings benefit. While it isn't the fastest charger on the market (some will do 48 amps), it's still respectably fast for a Level 2 charger, and certainly gets the job done a lot faster than any Level 1 charger. This has 3 charge methods, including RFID card mode for when your charger is installed in a publicly-accessible location. If you install it in your private garage, "Plug-in" mode is pretty much what you'll use. The charger has a nice (albeit small) screen that gives you the important info. It's fully waterproof (IP65), which is nice, but, if you ask me, it's better to install it someplace that doesn't get rained on, if you can help it. it has a nice 25' cord, which is pretty good size. And did I mention it's about 1/10th the cost of a dealer-installed charger? To me, that's THE selling point. In short, this does the same thing the dealer charger does - imprison magical electric pixies in your car's battery to make them do your bidding - but does so for much less money. As I sit here and write this, I try to think of a downside to this. There isn't one. it's so worth the money, it's almost beyond words. 5 stars.

Nice EV charging station for home use. Installation is very straightforward if you've installed other EV chargers before. If not, I suggest using an electrician or watching a number of videos on YouTube as well as following the included instructions. Can schedule charging hours, set and update max charging rate, etc with the app. Good product.
