I added this to a 2009 VW Tiguan. It was easy to install and looked nice in the dash. Android Auto works wired and wireless. A phone has to be plugged into the unit's USB cable for the first time to pair it for wireless, so make sure you can get to it somehow. Otherwise you have to take off your face plate every time you want to pair another phone. The volume controls on the steering wheel work, but the radio station doesn't show on the MFD. I didn't install any cameras, but the OBD2 scanner worked well with the installed version of Torque. Support was great for the order and technical issues. The wifi range could be better, but over all I'm happy with the purchase. ... show more

    • Turns off randomly
Occasionally this unit turns off for no reason. Everything is professionally installed and I had it checked. The unit must be faulty because it still randomly shuts off. Not that great of a product.

Now one of my favorite upgrades on my 2013 Gti. Everything working as it should, the wired and wireless CarPlay are great. You can even download apps from the Google play store which really maximizes the capabilities of this headunit. A couple things to keep in mind: I did have to go on YouTube and look up how to setup CarPlay at first. The app (TLINK app) that allows you to use CarPlay was not installed on my headunit at first. Opening up YouTube on the headunit and used a link eonon commented on their CarPlay how to YouTube which allowed me to download TLINK. After that I was able to use CarPlay as intended. Steering wheel controls do work but at times that do lag when you press the steering wheel controls. I usually need to press down a few hard times to actually get the volume to adjust. The only gripe I have is that sometimes it doesn't connect to wireless android auto. I have to reset my phone or reset the head unit or turn off my bluetooth and turn it back on in my phone. Sound quality is improved over the original radio and it's great having Android Auto without a cable. Definitely recommend this as an upgrade. ... show more

I work for a VW dealership and needed a radio that had Android auto for my 2013 beetle. The installation was simple and everting is working flawlessly. i needed tech support to figure out how to change a setting and they answered within 24hours with a video to show me the steps which was AWSOME!!! i actually showed it to a fellow employee and he bought 1 for his Golf also. Radio looks good. That's all. Android auto works 80% of the time. Google maps works 5% of the time. Waze works 80% -starts to work after 15min of driving. Spent a whole month dealing with their tech support updating and resetting. Sometimes it made it better sometimes worse. My return window on Amazon ran out. Asked the tech support to return the unit, they offered me a used unit instead and I could keep the original. I said no thank you and asked for a return again. They stopped responding. Contacted Amazon and thank God they allowed me to return. If it costs more, does not mean it's better. Chinese junk. ... show more

Unit came with everything needed to install it in the car, even the vehicle side harness. Quality is good, and packed with features. Sound is great. Monitors engine conditions, temps, fuel battery level, even boost pressure. Has some amazing features. And customer service is on point . the unit fits perfectly,it has great appearance but is full of glitches and not working funtions, it works like a phone when connected to WiFi, it requires a lots of updates and extensive setup to get it working, specially the gps. it doesn't include the backup camera so that little camera on the left lower corner of the item picture is not there. ... show more
