some of the reviews stated the seating area is firm...it is, however most recliners have a breakin period and soften in about 2 months from use...I am 5'9 and the chair hits me perfect from lumbar to knees and elsewhere. my wife is 5'4 and from the lumbar to her knees is longer so her knees dont bend to allow her feet to hit the floor. otherwise both of us love the way the controls allow any foot, back, and head positioning as this is not a zero gravity that keeps the body bent in the waist and curved at the knees. it does go negative at the head and feet elevated above the rest of the body if you want. the massage is vibration only, not shiatsu rollers, a disappointment,. but not at this price point. the heat is lumber only and takes about 5 minutes to get to the hottest, and works well. the recliner controls are on the right side and take some getting use to, and the massage controls are on a handheld cord and are easy to understand and are straight forward. this is heavy, arrives in 2 boxes and you need help to assemble it, it is easy, just heavy and big.....this is a well built recliner, better than lazy or catnap for a song and a dance. the only negative i can comment on is the possible returning of the item which has cost and transport as obstacles, but we are not returning it so for us, it moot. 6 month update still the best deal for a massage recliner......it was extra firm when it arrived, but now some 6 months later it has softened and feels more comfortable as it settles in to my body. it operated perfectly and we have had no p[roblems or negative complaints. In fact, my wife bought a lazyboy for herself and frequently she prefers my eonix chair due to it being more firm on her back than the lazyboy which will soften even more in the future....this is the best chaoir for the money anywhere

I LOVE this chair. Very comfy and material is very soft. The side compartments are quite generous. I have a tablet, a book, a notebook and three magazines in one and still have room. Be careful IF your cup is very tall as it will sit at a slight slant. One thing that can use improvement would be a way to differentiate the buttons by touch. I put a small piece of tape on all of the "up" buttons, and then since I use the foot rest most often, I put a little silicone "dot" on the down button (like you put on the bottom of knick knacks to keep them from scratching furniture). This way I know the button with the dot will put the foot rest down and the one directly on front puts it down. These aren't visible at all, so it works. While many chairs use two remotes, one for heat massage, the other to control movement, this chair only used one for heat massage. I appreciate that! I have more than enough remotes already!

was a bit hesitant to buy a recliner online without sitting in it first, but I am so glad I took the chance on this one. It perfectly strikes the balance between being soft and providing actual support. This chair is absolutely amazing. Now, the delivery comes in two separate boxes and not at the same time. Dont panic. Super easy to install the backrest portion to the base. At first the chair is a little on the firm side of being comfortable however after a week of using it the chair softens. The remote for chair functions is awesome. It truly does massage and heat up nicely. An incredible purchase at an amazing price! Compared to brick and mortar stores that are double or triple the price it's a no brainer. You will absolutely love this chair. I do have to give a strong shout out to the companies customer service team. They are so friendly and professional that I will put them at the top of best companies thus far. When I received the 1st box the next day Amazon showed delivery completed. I panicked. They sorted things out, tracked the 2nd box and it was delivered shortly afterwards. Amazing how they stand behind their product and customers. Try them if your truly looking for an amazing recliner.

I was against getting a power recliner because I was worried about how long the motor would last. Especially when you realize the only way to change the position was through the motor. There is no manual override. The jury is still out on the durability thing but I gotta say that for now, this thing works really, really well. The speed is perfect and having both foot, back AND headrest movement that can function independently of each other is what makes it worth the investment. It was a big selling point for me. Cushioning is fine though it could use a bit more padding in the seat. And the upholstery is soft and quite nice looking. The other reason I almost didn't get a power recliner was because I didn't want to have an ugly cord snaking its way to a wall outlet. When I found out there are third party rechargable batteries that can be used with it instead, that was the final selling point. I lucked out and found one that so far has worked really well. It has not required a recharge after two months of daily use and there is no loss in speed when adjusting the recliner. We'll see how long it lasts but until then, I am very happy with this recliner.

Love this chair. Very comfortable. Easy to assemble. Great price. Reclines flat and the heat is a plus. The massage mode is more of a gentle tapping and is a little noisy in the leg and thigh sections.

We ordered 2 chairs and each chair shipped in 2 large boxes. The heavier ones with the base weighed over 100 lbs each and Fedex struggled to deliver them. There was a lot of box damage but inside, the chairs were fine. I managed to put them together myself, but 2 people would be easier. That said, the chair is fantastic. Solidly built and very comfortable. Multiple options for the massage and for chair positioning. So much better than basic manual-operated recliners we had previously. Only criticisms are the cup holders are not built for coffee cups with handles, and it would be nice if the chair positioning was on the remote also instead of just on the side of the chair.
