TLDR: This thing is the pinnacle of convenience, while being beautifully made and comes with everything you'll need to start playing. ----- First off, this thing is beautiful. It has a nice sleek look to it. The feel of it is smooth and balanced. It is lightweight, but not cheaply made. Everything about this exudes quality and the features are very well thought out. I haven't played since I was a kid, and this was the ideal choice to get back into it. From the apps tuner to the built in ports and DSP effects, I was able to open the box and start playing in minutes. Even if I had never played before, I think this would be a great choice to get started. This really comes with everything. It's a great price for such an all in set. I don't have a ton of space at home, and being able to plug my over ear monitors directly into the guitar and power it on is really convenient. The app is really well designed and easy to use. It's quick to connect your guitar to change settings and switch between or create presets that you cant toggle between with the button on the guitar. Having a built-in audio interface with a USB-C port on the body to enable computer connection is amazing. No additional adapters or devices needed, just plug in and you can start recording. I've owned a lot of guitars(one of them is Enya Nylon smart guitar), and the Enya XMARI is something special. Let me break down why I love it. Playability. Right out of the box the action is smooth and the neck feels fast and comfortable — easy on the fingers for long sessions. It plays beautifully whether you're a beginner still building calluses or an experienced player chasing nuance. This is a guitar you actually want to pick up. The onboard effects are amazing. Having quality effects built right into the guitar means I can sit down and get an inspiring tone instantly — no amp, no pedalboard, no setup. They sound genuinely good, not gimmicky, and they make practicing and noodling way more fun. The built-in audio interface is the killer feature. Plug in via USB and the guitar is your interface — clean signal straight into your computer with zero extra gear. For recording, practicing to backing tracks, or just capturing ideas, it removes all the friction. Where it really blew me away: I'm a developer, and I've been building an Launchpad arrangement/looper plugin for reaper to replace a $700+ hardware multitrack looper. Because the XMARI has the audio interface built in, I had a working prototype running in just a few hours — no interface to buy, configure, or troubleshoot. For anyone doing music software or creative coding, that convenience is hard to overstate. As for the guitar itself, the value here is unmatched. The material is durable and I can't tell a significant different in tone from my Fender Stratocaster. The ease of adjustment, quality of hardware and tone make this easily comparaible to a good midrange guitar. They call it "smart", kinda silly really, because it contains a rechargeable built in effects processor that has amp sounds and effect pedal sounds, similar to buying an inexpensive little processor and installing it inside the guitar... except you can't push any of the buttons (well except one to select 4 or 12 sounds), It requires a smartphone and bluetooth to make changes to your sounds... thus the "smart" part of the guitar? The sound is okay, kinda fun to practice or just experiment with. The effects are very basic. The two amps sims in the processor sound okay, not great, but okay. For me, everything was difficult to adjust using the bluetooth app, which is the only way you can adjust any parameter except volume. In my opinion, the phone app is the weakest part of this "smart" guitar system. You get 12 slots for patches (sounds). You can't move them or copy them to another slot. You can't back your sounds up. This guitar does not have builtin speaker like some of the other models, but you can plugin headphones or plug it into a PA or guitar amp (which might not sound good, depending on how much you can adjust the tone on your guitar amp). I'm hoping for updates, but Enya might just focus on new products more than existing. We'll see. Again, I just love the guitar itself and use it on gigs a lot. I just turn on the toy processor inside for some effects (tremolo, chorus, or a little delay) I might like to put in front of my right, just for fun. ... show more

I picked this out for my teenage grandson, an accomplished pianist just starting to learn guitar. The sleek, modern design in matte black feels premium — it doesn’t look or feel like a typical beginner instrument. The built-in effects are great, easy to use and fun to experiment with. He can plug in headphones to play quietly anytime, and record himself on his phone. He can also pair it with a looper pedal to layer parts and jam along with himself — a great way to build skills as a musician. This is an extremely good value for either the beginning guitarist or a seasoned player who's looking for a simple, yet well executed guitar. This is not my first Enya Music product, but it may be my favorite yet. Build-wise, it still utilizes a semi-hollow carbon-fiber composite body which allows for higher than expected resonance unplugged. The neck is a bolt-on of European maple, which brings a more traditional approach compared to their all-in-one cast body, neck, and fretboard used on their other instruments. The fit and finish is very high quality. Really nice level frets with no sprout, very good setup right out of the box and a really attractive pick guard, beautiful matte finish on the body and matte finish on the maple neck as well. Tuners are quite nice also. It still offers the onboard DSP unit with 4 presets, configurable using the Enya Music app. Other differences include: no built-in speaker (which I like), two-point adjustable tremolo w/whammy bar, no zero fret, slightly less-padded, but still decent gig bag. The included accessories are very nice. Extra set of strings, basic nylon web strap with simply awesome strap locks (Enya should sell these straps separately in different fabrics and color combos!), two picks, USB-C cable for charging/recording, nice quality instrument cable and necessary tools for neck/tremolo adjustment. All of this goodness connects to the Enya Music app which allows for user configuration/modification of onboard effects, firmware updates and other features. Hard to imagine all this for this price. All in all, another unbelievable value and a home run from Xmari and Enya Music! ... show more

My first purchase ended up being defective but I was able to get a second one as replacement. If you're looking to buy a practice guitar this is the guitar for you. It work really well so as th preset but to give a full review please take my word for it the guitar is worth buying but it comes with a few draw backs. Ok so I got the guitar and it is working like a dream, it's beautiful, easy to handle and durable. I have some very important improvements for the guitar and it would help the company grow by improving the guitar. #1 the app doesn't work without internet (they need to make the guitar accessable to the presets without the use of the app. A small LED screen at the back of the guitar would be good to upload your own preset to the guitar, they should also have a small memory chip on the motherboard or memory cord slot to save presets on while using it to play your presets without the app.) #2 The Issue I had with the first one, manufacturer need to upgrade the button or add a second way to turn the guitar on by adding a switch at the back or a LED screen as I mention in #1. A hybrid guitar should be able to operate anywhere at it's full potential without relying on the app to access your own presets. Color: I like the color but they should have more color design for the customers to choose from I like the guitar but it would be even better if I could get it in metallic black and red. So Variation of colors are important as well. Very good guitar you can record with bandlab with it while the app in the back ground using ur presets, it works with headphones and you can use it with a traditional amp but I haven't fully test tried that because I don't have a amp yet. ... show more
