As far as style and ease of use goes, this is totally fine. Not attractive, but not ugly. I like that the top is totally flat, so we can use it as a temporary night stand or whatever. We move it around the house a lot, which is super easy when you want to move it anywhere on the same floor, b/c the wheels are great. But it's heavy and a little bulky to move up and down the stairs, but not bad at all. Doable, just no handle. But who cares, b/c it REMOVES VOCs!! I have a couple different types of air quality monitors, and the Air Things one seems to be the most accurate. B/c we are living in a new construction home, we are dealing with pretty high VOCs when there isn't good airflow. Which is especially hard in the winter, because we can't open the windows much. So I was getting alerts all the time from the air monitor whenever bedroom doors were closed during the night. But not anymore, at least not for the rooms that have this air filter in them. VOCs are much lower now. Success. I just wish it was cheaper so I could get one for every bedroom. Note: there are two types of air filters, and the only difference is that one has a UV light inside it, which may not really do anything b/c UV needs to be in contact with particles for longer than the machine probably gives them.

Honestly had high hopes for a device that is $700+! I received it and it was completely defective. Looked like they have given me a used one as neither the packaging or the device looked new - it looked previously opened/used. Followed all the instructions and plugged it in, the machine wouldn’t even light up. What a waste! Plus it didn’t arrive on time to begin with. Now I have to return it and try to get another one or bring my money elsewhere.... should have listened to all the reviews!

Using this device continuously (24/7) to filter large great room. Also use to reduce VOC’s when painting inside house. Note: Replacement pre-filters are expensive, however, the manufacturer does offer a 20% discount if you sign up for their subscribe and save program.

Not for use in a grow room - light escapes the vents. Also, unit came with the UV light switch installed backwards - on is off and vice versa. Not worth the $.

The media could not be loaded. I breed animals. I was thrilled to read that this one was particularly effective against VOCs, and Amazon got it to me fast. Unfortunately, I was less thrilled to learn how poorly designed and built it was. 1. It's ugly and looks like a science fair project, but I can live with that. 2. You cannot turn off the control panel lights (see photo.) 3. The air filter is held in place with thumb screws. When I tried to tighten one of them, it jammed, stripped and I had to use pliers to get it out (see photo. 4. there is no master on/off switch, so the UV lights turn on/off separately from the fan 5. "Whisper Mode" is already noisy (see video.) All of the other modes are very noisy. 6. The UV light leaks out the vents (see photo.) A lot. That's NOT SAFE! 7. The paper filter seems to fit well, but the VOC filter has air gaps around it, reducing it's effectiveness. Pity, because that's why I bought it. I am considering returning it to Amazon, but I actually feel sorry for Amazon (and it is very heavy and will be a lot of trouble to return.) But I wish I hadn't bought it.

This is a heavy duty air filtration system that should provide many years of dependable service. It is heavy and made of mostly metal components, not plastic. It weighs almost 40 lbs and that makes the included casters on the bottom very practical. The design is rather plain, and doesn't seem to try to fit in with high end decor in a home environment. An office, classroom, or some other large room is ideal. But it can be rolled into a corner or less conspicuous space in the home, if you prefer. I do like to centrally locate air filters for best performance. It is certainly worthy of the "military grade" description. The internal parts and components seem high quality and reliable. I really like the internal UV lights that not only clean the air but also keep the internals clean. You will need to not only replace the filter media but also the 2 UV lamps. Keep that in mind. There is a non-UV version available too if UV is not something your interested in. With the ongoing pandemic I would think more people prefer the UV at this day and time. The filter is rated at 1 amp @ 120V which is 120 watts. The UV bulbs are rated a 9 watts each. The air flow is very good. It starts at a quiet 85 CFM. You can then choose 150, 200 and 250 CFM depending on the room size and air change needs. There are 2 filters that need to be replaced at regular intervals. The air cartridge is recommended to be replaced every 6 months. At $100 each this adds up to $200 per year. The HEPA filter needs to be replaced every 2 years. At $250 that adds up to $125 per year. The UV bulbs were not in stock at the time of this review but they typically need to be replaced yearly. They are probably around $35 each. The yearly replacement of media will cost approximately $400 per year. This is an expensive filter. The media is also expensive too. However if you want a "military grade" filter and quality and reliability are of utmost importance, then this certainly seems to be a good choice. 4 solid stars for quality. -1 for price of replacement media.
