I love this piece more than I expected to. I shopped for quite some time before deciding to try this unit. For the price (on sale + adding freight) compared to so many other options, I was worried about everything - quality, size, color. It all works perfectly for me. The side shelves and fireplace "feel" smaller than expected but serve the purpose and are proportioned nicely with the overall size of the unit. It doesn't rock or shimmy side to side once put together. Seems very sturdy when complete but be careful with the side shelves when putting the unit together. Assembly will likely be a point of frustration. Each piece is labeled with a letter or number for identification in the instructions. However, a couple of the steps were difficult to know what was the front or which side needed to be facing "forward" or "up". We did have to disassemble a couple pieces to turn them around for a later step. It was easy to take them back apart, just took a little more time. The fireplace unit comes with a remote and several settings for heat and brightness. The color is unique and very nicely done for a wood finish on particle board material rather than solid wood. I am typically not a fan of fake wood colors. The unit was received with no damage and no parts missing. There was even an extra piece of each screw and wooden peg component. It ships in 2 packages as the description states. Ours were delivered separately but only a day apart.

I needed something to go under my mounted TV that’s on a wall near a walkway, so I couldn’t get anything that was overly wide or long. I found this fireplace/tv stand and it was the extract color and size I was looking for. The brown is a nice deep brown and the black metal accents are a nice touch. I did, however, replace the handles with my own matte black ones to match the rest of my cabinets. Putting it together was just like any other furniture piece you put together, not fun but easy enough to do alone. I didn’t like that the doors were see through, so I just bought some black paper and taped it to the inside of the door to black them out and now it’s perfect. We have the fireplace option running even in 100 degree weather and now that it’s getting colder, we turn on the heat options as well which gets the surrounding area nice and toasty. For the price, it’s definitely worth it and doesn’t look cheap at all.

I am in love with this TV stand, and so are my cats as you can see. The fireplace came separate from the actual stand, so that is why I have a picture with and without it! It took me about two to three hours to assemble, but it was an easy process - just time consuming. The instructions were clear and the sturdiness of the parts made it even easier. The material is just beautiful. It's even more beautiful in person - you would never know that I assembled this myself. I love that I can also use the stand without the fire place if I want. I can take the fireplace out by a few screws if I decide I don't want it anymore. THE FIREPLACE: The remote has four buttons. The on button, the light button, the heater button, and the timer button. The on button turns the light on and has three dimmable settings. The heater is temperature controlled - it starts at 65 degrees and goes up to HI. It goes up by 5 degrees each time you press the heater button, and pressing it after HI turns it off. The timer controls how long the heater stays on so that you don't forget to turn it off before bed! It honestly puts off enough heat that I don't think I'll even be using my apartment heaters this year. I have a personal heater right in front of me! The only thing I'd say that I don't like is the back to the TV stand. You can't put cords through anything else but the three holes in the small top part of the stand. I usually like putting an extension cord in one of the bottom cabinets, but I was disappointed to find out that I couldn't do that. In hindsight, to fix that I could have just left the back off, but I would have had to take a lot apart to do that so I made it work. OVERALL, I'm extremely satisfied with this purchase.

I don’t write many reviews but I am frustrated customer. The good news is that the item was sent much earlier than expected. However, it took me about four hours to put this together. Before you say, “he might be slow in assembling items,” I absolutely love putting things together. However, as previous reviewers mentioned, there’s were some problems in putting this together. First, my box was filled came in as opened so some of the items flew out. It was a mad scramble to find the missing pieces. Second, while there was an “instruction manual,” not all of the items are easily identified. Some of the items had stickers and others didn’t. Play close attention to the details. Third, there was a step that was a misprint. If I recall correctly, it was step 8. It caused some confusion and eventual refixing. Also, the sliding doors were a pain to put in. I removed the bottom because it was a pain to line up. Overall, after hours of slaving this through, it is done. It looks nice in my living room. That’s all I can say.
