We have two older (16 and 12) cats and when the weather starts turning colder, their poor joints feel it (I can relate). I had purchased an Enjoy Pet heating pad in 2020, and while it’s big enough for both of them, it’s very rare that they both will use it, so I decided to purchase another one. The new one arrived with the same pad and easy zip-off cover (VERY easy to keep clean—just zip off and throw it in the washer and dryer), but a different controller for the heating pad which is not as straightforward. The first one has on/off, the exact temperature, and the time you want it to stay on. This one is almost the same but instead of the exact temperature, you get a 1-9 setting. Nothing that came with the heating pad explained what temperature range “4,” for example, equates to. So it’s trial and error; is “5” too hot? We don’t know until the cat gets off and stretches out on the floor like he’s too hot 🤦🏼♀️. So to me, the previous controller was better than the new one. However, I think we got it dialed in pretty quickly and they’ll be happy, comfy cats this winter, so there’s that 😻. ... show more

I have a mated pair of schipperkes and a son from their first litter. The mated pair love sleeping together on he loveseat (I know, how cute! Right?) and are literally never more than a few feet from the other day and night. This leaves their son literally out in the cold. When I received the ENJOY PET Pet Heating Pad, I opened it up and removed the plastic. There is literally no set up involved other than removing the plastic and plugging it straight into your wall - no USB or HDMI required. The outer cover is removable to be able to be washed. I'll recommend cold water to Reventon shrinking and use a lingerie bag, air drying. There isn't much required for directions. The plug in has a built in controller is hard wired into the cord. Something noteworthy is the cord has an extra covering over it, so you can see well in advance any cord damage should you have a fur baby wh has a pencant for biting. My boy is over the biting and gnawing stage, but it is always a good idea to regularly check cords one plans to leave accessible. Throughout the day I had the ENJOY PET Pet Heating Pad on at 50% heat as it was in the low 70's. We live in the south, and for us, this is definitely cool weather. I knew we were going dip into the 50's which would be dang cold for my fur babies. All three dogs sniffed it, sat on it and laid on it a bit throughout the day. During the evening, the mated pair went to their usual spot - together on the loveseat crled up together. Their son, as you can see in my black and white photo he is curled up sleeping in his normal "down for the count" position, since I took awa the old dog bed that was in this sort and replaced it with the ENJOY PET Pet Heating Pad. The dogs like it, the best I can tell. I like that this ENJOY PET Pet Heating Pad has a timer so it isn't on all day and night. This is going to save money, as I'm a tightwad when it comes to money and energy efficiency. I wish this was able wo work with Alexa. I haven't checked to see if it ll wor with a plug in but I'm guessing it won't. I'll just incorporate it into the daily dinner routine each evening. This is a super soft pad that I expect would be soft to sit on. This has a little digital display on the controller where you can select a range of time and temps ranging from 95 degrees F to 140. I like the protection that was engineered into the cord, it has a ribbed plastic tubing on the outside to prevent animals from chewing or scratching the cord. The plastic tubing provides protection yet allows for flexibility in the cord. It is quick to warm up and my animals were quick to get comfortable on it. The heating pad can be removed so the lining can be cleaned. This is really durable and has an innocuous appearance so it won't clash with most decor. This performed really well and it would be money well spent. My house is on a concrete pad and as such, it stays cooler, so it was great to get right before winter sets in. ... show more

I should have paid more attention to the size of the heating pad, which is my mistake. My medium-sized dog has to curl up to fit her whole body on it. She has begun lying across the pad with her body extended and seems to be happy getting the warmth just over her abdomen. If she's happy, I'm happy! The one drawback of this heating pad is that the material used to make it gathers and holds onto the dog hair she sheds. She has course hair that sticks to other surfaces, though. I can clean it off, but it takes a little time, and I can't get all of her fur cleaned off. My dog is older and doesn't chew, so I can't really speak to the cord truly being chew-proof, but it seems to be pretty durable. ... show more
