It does what it's supposed to but I wish I would have bought higher wattage. Growing garden plants in basement where the temperature is in low 60s . I partially enclosed area with plastic and reflective material with small computer fan for airflow.... Area is about 4ftx2x3ft and this barely raises ambient temperature with fan blowing. Better than with nothing however heat is barely felt more than foot away. For price you can't go wrong though

Bought 2, 1 is still working at about 8 weeks but the other only lasted 4 weeks. I had used red heat bulbs in past under the same application that lasted years. Hope it was just one bad bulb. I like that it does not give off light.
