It does what it's supposed to but I wish I would have bought higher wattage. Growing garden plants in basement where the temperature is in low 60s . I partially enclosed area with plastic and reflective material with small computer fan for airflow.... Area is about 4ftx2x3ft and this barely raises ambient temperature with fan blowing. Bought 2, 1 is still working at about 8 weeks but the other only lasted 4 weeks. I had used red heat bulbs in past under the same application that lasted years. Hope it was just one bad bulb. I like that it does not give off light.

I was looking for a low cost solution to keep me warm while I am on my computer. So a heat lamp that only use 100W sounded like a great solution to me. The ceramic heater worked fine. I keep it at about 9 inches away from my feet. The only con is that I sometimes forget to turn off the heat because it does not emit light.
