I knew this wasn't exactly professional grade when I ordered it, and that's OK because it's something I won't use often. There are a few things that I am pretty disappointed with nonetheless. While the adapters are labeled 1-10, the numbers on the adapters themselves are quite difficult to read. Not nearly as clear as they appear to be in the pictures. More importantly--There is nothing to indicate what any of the sizes actually are! Are they metric? SAE? Both? I guess I'll have to just try different adapters until I find the one that works. Most importantly--look at the debris and nicks on the threads. I certainly wouldn't screw this to an oil passage without a thourough cleaning first! (also notice that one iadapter is missing an O-ring). The bag with the spare O-rings is shown as containg 2 extra valve cores but mine did not. The quick-connect couplers do not feel smoothe--it's as if theye need lubricating (or maybe there's debris in there too). The plastic latches on the case are very cheap and feel like they'll break when opening & closing ... show more

This oil pressure tester works as expected. I was able to easily connect it and it showed the oil pressure without leaking. I like that it is supplied with the large assortment of quick change adapters to connect it to most pressure taps. I was not able to compare the pressure reading to a known accurate gauge but it appeared to be correct. ... show more

    • Entry level oil pressure tester kit
This oil pressure testing kit is effective, but it certainly is rough around the edges. Some of the machining on metal parts looks sloppy, with rough edges at times and obvious scoring and burr marks. The pressure gauge itself is pretty accurate when compared against my brand name expensive unit, but you can definitely see the quality difference with both in hand. If you are on a tight budget, this kit will give you answers that you need when it comes to oil pressures in your car, but don't expect this to last forever if you're going to use it regularly as part of your arsenal at a mechanic shop. It's a good entry level tool to get you out of doubt with your personal vehicles, and not much else. ... show more

Good inexpensive kit. Came with everything I need to use it or I can get an adapter that will allow me to. I don't need one of these often, but there really isn't a great way to test oil pressure otherwise.
