I’ve had this flashlight for a good while. I purchased it to see around our fenced in backyard at night, when our dogs are out back, doing there business, and often hiding. :) The other flashlights we used had regular batteries, so they were often dying out, dead, or otherwise only lit up a small area of the backyard. This Energizer, flashlight lights up a large area quite brightly, so we can easily see where the dogs are as well as what they may be trying to get into. It also feels very sturdy. It is a fairly large flashlight, so it’s not likely going to comfortably fit in someone’s pocket, but I like the size of it, personally. This is a very bright flashlight, so be careful about shining it in anyone or anything’s eyes. Overall, I’m happy with the price I paid for it and the value it gives, so it definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a bright, rechargeable flashlight with good battery life, but don’t mind something a little bulky. ... show more

    • Nice light! One limitation: no battery indicator
I think this is a terrific flashlight in terms of the amount of light. However, it’s missing a battery indicator that would make it better. For example, I took it camping recently and it went off in the middle of use without warning, meaning no dimming beforehand. (I hadn’t recharged it in a while.) Even a simple battery indicator that turned red when needing a recharge would be so helpful! ... show more

I loved it when I first used it. That was the second brightest, flashlight I had. it was great for about a year and a half. The adjustable size of the beam it turns out is poorly designed. This feature works by simply unscrewing the lens end. That makes the beam wider. But what you don’t know is that there are wires that run from the handle area inside up to the lens part, and there is a molded plastic piece sticking out from the lens portion, and when you thread it back down to make the beam narrower, the wires have become pinched in between where they come out and where that protruding piece is and it has cut them in half. I only know this because I unscrewed the top piece and I could see where the wires had been crushed. For this reason, I would strongly caution anyone against buying this flashlight. Yes I see there are a lot of high ratings but look at the ones that say had just quit working. I’ll bet that it’s the same exact issue that I had but these people just don’t realize that that’s what has happened. Energizer needs to take responsibility for this and redesign the beam adjustment so that it can’t crush the wires in half. I do want to say that I really liked the rugged look of this flashlight and seemingly great materials used but a flashlight that has a built-in defect is no good to anyone despite the great ratings that some people give this light. I’m sure their time is coming, but they’ll never know the reason for their life failure was this design flaw. Don’t buy it. ... show more

This is an excellent flashlight ,very bright, functions the way it's supposed to ,you don't need batteries for it, doesn't take a long time to charge,it's very solid and built nicely.
